A user shop that calls everyone "you trash!"

I dont find it insulting, was that the shop name? but it might mean something different where you are??

I have seen a shop with a really odd name it made me laugh after I had sat there with my mouth open in a gasp for a few minutes it was called My vagina !

Having spent years on neopets its quite refreshing here even if it does make me gasp now and then and do a double take lol

honestly I find the shop labeled "Error" more of a problem than the one you listed

Lol, I've seen my share of oddities, people are funny or funny wannabe :D However calling people trash I think it is quite insulting, especially after I talked to that person and I got "yeah, you all are trash, cos you undercut prices" and I'm like @

It took me less than 2 seconds to find the conversation in comments and all the user said was, "yes ): undercutting hurts everyone's earnings" Please don't try and play some imaginary victim card to get people to feel bad about how sensitive you are to the world. I don't find it insulting, I think it's funny. There's nothing wrong with "insulting" users especially when it's just a general statement not directed at anyone, it's not offensive and it's not demeaning. There is something wrong with targetting users, however, so maybe next time make a ticket if you feel it actually violates Subeta's terms and conditions rather than trying to convince people on the forums to hopefully gather against them to change their shop name? I'm not sure how serious this entire topic is, but we have a block feature. Utlize it and move on. I don't know if blocking prevents the shop from showing up in SS, but you can easily find a way to ad block it with a browser extension.

No more than my shop being named Garden of Eden is blasphemous.

I don't understand why you'd need to confront the person in the first place...? You have a problem with something, file a ticket and let staff sort it out (or not sort it out, depending on if it's an issue to them). What even.

That shop is a problem for me as well, especially when questing! I'm like, what did I mess up now? Did the item sell out? Sigh, lol.

No. I don't find it insulting. And if you don't like a shop name, don't buy from the shop. shrug

I don't find it all that insulting to be honest. Its just a shop name and I've seen worse. Just don't buy from the shop if it bothers you that much.

Just to clarify, the shop is NOT called 'you trash', it is called 'stop undercutting u trash'. It's the difference between the shop owner trying to insult every user, and them telling the world how they feel about undercutting. However, it appears that even people seeing your original post and thinking the shop is called 'you trash' do not find that insulting either. xD

I suppose the relevant section of the site rules would be as follows: "Do not transmit or facilitate distribution or content that is harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, discriminatory, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, or in a reasonable person's view, objectionable. Hate speech is not tolerated."

It is not (at least in my opinion) harmful, and certainly not abusive. Definitely not racially or ethnically offensive. No more vulgar or sexually explicit than the shop called 'My Vagina'. It isn't defamatory, infringing, discriminatory, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights. So we are left with 'objectionable in a reasonable person's view'. We can measure this from responses to this thread: assuming that all individuals who post on this thread are 'reasonable', we have one view (yours) of it being objectionable. We have ten (myself included) reasonable people who do not find it objectionable.

You are of course entitled to your opinion! But it appears that the average opinion on this matter is that the shop name is not objectionable.

Calling silly names (trash, stupid, idiot, loser, etc) will just backfire. It wouldn't improve anything at the very least, and is completely ironic if they brought it on themselves.

I like how many times "My Vagina" has been brought up on this thread.

That's got to be my favorite shop name of all time.

Personally I think that shop names in general are a non-issue. If people find the name insulting, they won't shop there. It's not worth upping your blood pressure over.

Every time that I shop at My Vagina, I always have to laugh when the page intones "continue searching my vagina". I have to agree with that "you trash" is rude but it really doesnt offend or bother me at all.

There's another shop named ^MORONS^ or something which i think is a tad more direct than my shop name... Unfortunately it wouldn't let me input "stop undercutting by several tens of thousands you are hurting our collective income if you do this you are trash (you and you in particular who only downprice reasonable amounts are exempt)" and so "stop undercutting u trash" would have to do ): Because of OP's complaint yesterday I was going to inquire staff about whether my name was ok or not today but it seems like the general consensus is that it's fine lol.

Seeing as how Tumblr seems to be trying to make "trash" the most overused, meaningless word on the internet, I'm surprised half the shops on the site aren't named something similar. It's immature for sure, but not anything to be bothered over.
