I think we should try to work out what happened and if possible how to prevent and reverse it. Without knowledge you can't be sure what you're doing is the right way to go. Not that you ever truly can be certain, of course.

WOW. I think at this point, it's more important to figure out what happened. If you can do that, you might also find a way to cure them or at least help them move on. You also need to learn how to prevent it from happening again! Hopefully they won't cause too much chaos in the mean time. After all, this could help them just as much as it will help you. Didn't they say it was freedom they want?
