Hm, I hear that mobile clinics are pretty cheap. You should see if any are in your area and they might be able to check him out for you at a cheap price!

I'll need to start getting quotes from different clinics here. If we invest money in him we'll want to make him an indoor only cat like the other 2 we have. We just love knowing that our beloved pets are inside and away from harm. I doubt Scotty would probably want to go back outside considering how badly he wants to be inside. I just wonder if he belongs to anyone around here. His fur looked much cleaner today than yesterday. He'll often be gone for about 2 to 3 hours in the day too. We're just figuring things out as we go. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I'll be able to find a place we can afford.

Hm, that does make it tricky if he's possibly someones cat. Maybe you can make some flyers asking around? I had a friend who had an outside cat who would be gone for hours and hours.

Then again, it sounds like he's trying to get in badly enough that maybe he doesn't have a home. GAH IDKKKK

Maybe get him a collar and attach a note to it? Not only cute, but effective!

We have some old collars around somewhere. If I find one I'll try the note idea. There is another cat down the street, looks just like him but much fatter. If I post flyers people might think they're the same cat. :p

Same here, 2 cats and a dog. I'm still going to try out 's idea of attaching a note to a collar and putting it on Scotty to find out if someone owns him. I need to find time to put it on him though lol. He's here then he's gone right away so I'm thinking more and more he has an owner. So if I find an old collar and put the note I need to be careful how I phrase my words. I don't want to write words like "been feeding him" "would love to keep him" because they may let Scotty continue to mooch off us. xD

You can always just say you're interested in him but want to know before you make him an indoor cat.

That way they think you'll take him inside if they don't reply and if it is someones cat I doubt they want to lose him :)

Even if you aren't taking him inside, it's a good way to scout if he has an owner or not.
