I only got 379. Still - progress!
This is the exact day that I joined NaNo last year, with some vaguely outlined ideas and not a word written. I still completed 50k on 11/30. Nothing is impossible :)
I'm standing at 950 words today, and I was at 100 before I did the word war, so I think I had about 5 more mins that you lot but 850 is a good go.
- If you think scriviner is something you will use, then by all means sign up! Plot elements, backstories, character bios for future stories are all fair game :)

- I'm in. I think I know what I need to change to make this chapter work :)
Impossible, no. Unlikely, yes. I don't think I even want to get 50k words deep into the story right now... I still have my other more-developed story line(s) I want to work on, at least part of the time, so I don't think I could give this idea its due focus... But it is one I have marked to develop further.
LOL I love Scrivener! It helps me organize my attempts at organization. And I love to be organized. I can't imagine going back to Microsoft Word so I'm trying to figure out how to buy the Scrivener program.
That's all fair game, huh? That's the sort of thing I could do... I've got 10 or so ideas that are really promising when I reflect on them in my head but I've done very little writing down of anything for them. It would actually be very useful to me to make the time to go back and "flesh out" my concepts. If I was working on story notes, I might be able to get closer to the 50k goal. (Still don't think I'd reach it though. 50% discount on Scrivener or not. -sighs-)
[edit] Go, Word Warriors, Go! -eats chips and watches from the side lines-
707 words :D Wow I'm doing fairly decent this evening!
- 287. Not great, but getting there!
All true :) And KiaArra is right - everything is completely fair game.
416 for me. My scene ended halfway through the war and I had to quickly figure out where I was going with the next chapter. Since I'm doing a split POV through three characters who are all in different areas/situations, it was a matter of deciding who wanted to take the next chapter and what they were doing.
On the plus side, my female MC is way more fun to write than I thought she would be. I got to the end of her chapter there and was honestly sad to bring it to a close.
my goal for tonight is to try and hit the 10k mark. Then I wont feel so so far behind.
A very worthy goal!! :)
I'm only a little over 300 words away from the daily par goal - anyone up for another one at the :00? ?
(Sorry for all the war requests one after another. It legitimately helps me focus down and crank out words so much better than just poking around on my own!)
I love the wars, seriously best motivation for me to keep going! So as many as you want seriously I'm up for them tonight!
- I'm in :)
695 for me this time, but lord sometimes I feel like I can't type fast enough for my ideas!
395 and just in time. I found myself dozing off in the middle of that, unfortunately. Normally I would be up for at least another 45 minutes but I think I need to call it a night.
Ah - I remember the beginning bits, when the ideas just pour out of you onto the page! That's the best feeling. Sometimes I get pale imitations and snippets of that still, but mostly I'm in the middle of the slog where you start going "OH GOD EVERYTHING I'M WRITING IS THE WORST THING WHY" at random moments XD;
It's been fun warring with you guys :3 I'll be driving down to Portland tomorrow so I won't be on until later in the evening, but if I see you around I will hit you up for more words (as always)!
-I think I got about 350 that time. Drat, still 3k more to get to 20k and I'm burning out. :( I wish I had the problem of not being able to type fast enough for my ideas!
Still don't know if I am actually going to join NaNoWriMo but I just finished gathering my notes into a single file... (Plus typing up my ideas for the concept I was talking about earlier...) Came out to be 4,353 words! I am going to do some major editing but most of it needs more info and/or shuffling around rather than major deletion.
It'd be a serious head-start, but it comes out to be pretty equal to the work that I have done on my "main" story since November the 7th. I wouldn't feel so bad, with that in mind.
6k in one day is a respectable goal! :) How did it go, did you manage to write that much?
I haven't written more than a few words today, because I've been working on other crafts... I have two (and a half) days off next week, though, so hopefully I'll catch up then.
