About battling- do I have any chance of winning a battle currently with no stats or weapons or is that all stuff I need to work on before I consider accepting one of these random battle challenges? I've already had a couple pop up but I've been not doing them do my ignorance.

Any challenger that pops up as a rabdom event will totally slaughter an untrained pet. I just adopted a set of new pets, and it takes only about a week of training to be able to defeat most of the Easy challegers (starts Aboxalypse ends Willowisp) It helps if you read sixty-four books to your pet and make or buy a Champion Scroll. Just about any Tier 1 weapons you happen to have will do fine as long as at least two of them are reuseable.

I don't think that I'm going to be the best at explaining battling. I think it's probably better to train your pet up a bit first, but I'm not a great battler myself. I think that Solsticesprite's information is probably going to be more useful for you.

Thank you guys. I think I'm gonna try to get the hang of Subeta as a whole before delving into the battle challenges. That way I can figure out if I even want to make that time and sp investment. I feel a bit more knowledgeable now, but I have a long way to go.

you are welcome. Battling is an expensive hobby. I happen to have a very large shop and don't mind blowing tons of sP training educating and equipping my pets, and for me it's just a few less fancy Subeautique dresses or cute CW fripperies for me to wear each month. Many folks do not have battling pets. If you do decide to do it there's an upcoming battle every year with Morostide monsters so train now for it.

Yeah I think I'll pass on it this year but you never know next year I might be topping you in battle (haha just kidding of course). I will wait and see if anything sparks my interest in battling beyond those little random events I've been getting.
