my computer is somewhat working and I was able to finish off my newest pet's story. He's technically already done now, while pets I've had for years are sitting stagnant. xD

edit: Also, I just have to brag, that thanks to someone's very generous sale, I was able to obtain the last few items I needed for Phinean at a fraction of the cost. ;u;

congrats for the UN change and getting Phinean's TC finished!! It looks super good, I really like the gym theme. (although if I may suggest, I'd try to fill the last row as well so it looks more even, but like you said, finding new gym equipment is... difficult.

Yeah, seems like the new shop is only for outdoor activities, but I'm hoping that they'll expand on it a little someday. Maybe we'll get yet another new currency and get random 'gym points' for training our pets hah. (I'd rather not, forum points are already far too difficult to obtain. Although I guess they could always add quest points to Major Drills or .. something. )

I've been .. writing a little for one of my DA pets, just some little snippets to get back into the habit. I feel so rusty because I haven't written anything in ages...

Yeah, written like that it does sound an awful lot! Though breaking it down, five were to represent each species, one was for generic bird items and the other five were purely to look pretty. None were going to have characters or stories, it was to be purely just pet colours and TC items for some of them. So it's not as bad as it sounds! For the ones dedicated to each pet species, they'd all have plushies/beanbags/elixirs/lifelike dolls and then possibly the other random items associated with that species. So while there'd be a lot of repetitiveness in the items themselves, each pet would still end up with a decent sized TC in the end. And for a good chunk of the items, buying the TC slot would be the most expensive part.

I have 122 CW's on my wishlist that aren't purchasable in shops, plus a good chunk that I haven't sorted through yet. I've considered limiting myself to a handful of items/styles...but then there are still items I'd wanted that aren't readily available. It's frustrating. If I decide to keep with his theme it might just be easier to go back to ignoring CW's.

Yeah, I would love to see another new bird pet! The Noktoa was such a nice surprise.I guess technically there's the two bird experiments but they're both slightly too weird for me to count them.

I just stumbled across this thread- holy cow I'm not alone! I'm an artist and graphic designer, so you'd think I'd have nice profiles/art for my pets...noep. Each year I think, "This is it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna make refs and art for each of my pets and flesh out their backstories and TCs, heck yeah." It never happens. I'm always busy working on other art and stuff :V

I don't write often either, but I've been thinking about writing short stories to keep in the habit. Just like, random stories about random people and situations as a warm-up.

Have you suggested adding the items to staff? Because yeah there's totally a lack of gym equipment, even though we seem to be heading to the direction of more workout-related items.

I was actually thinking about making a thread asking for help about healthy foods but I didn't do it because I thought it was dumb and people would just be like "lol salads". And that reminds me, I was actually going to add a few salads to his TC. I'll put those in there too.

I never do Major Drills quests either, but if they made him a quest point shop... Well I still wouldn't since I have a huge backlog of points xD!

Sometimes I even just compile random fandom-related TCs for pets that don't exist and never will, at least not under my own account. :') Salads are always good tho, subeta has so many finger-licking delicious-looking food items. ´ y `

And yeah I understand what you mean, the tonics do give a bit of a 'tv shop miracle product' kind of a vibe hahah, even if the item art / overlays are super pretty. :')

I think I've found my people.

I'm really really awful at writing stories/completing things. I've had to give up so many pets because I simply lost the motivation to do anything with them.

I decided to change my main pet back to my oldest OC's name and create a new pet with the name Ornithologist. However, I need to buy 323 TC slots for the new pet and then transfer 326 items from the old TC to his. Just thinking about it makes me want to go curl up in a ball somewhere, but I really need to get it done. ;_;

My main problem is just that for some reason no matter what I try, backgrounds just don't want to show up on my pet pages for whatever reason. I can't figure out how to fix that so I just gave up orz

Pretty much all of my pets are based off of OCs. Some are based on D&D characters. One is myself, one is my husband, and one I want to dedicate to our wedding. Then there's one dedicated to my best friend.

Almost all of them are fully fleshed out, story-wise. I have art of a handful of the OCs. Not sure if I'll use that art, or if I want to make something more Subeta-esque.

I just. Ugh. No motivation. Not sure where to even start. Some of them I'm no longer happy with the species/color combo as the characters have since evolved. So that sets me back more.

This is so me. I have like 12 pets that I renamed and coloured last year and while I love their names, I have little inspiration to work on them and am super unmotivated.

Can anybody explain to me why people like low pet IDs? I like mine because I'm sentimental, but why do people seek them from others to adopt?

Omg everyone here - I'm a writer myself, so you'd think writing all the stories I've given to my pets (whether they're stated in summary-form on the pets pages or not) wouldn't be that hard but I just never have time. Or when I do have time I pretty much forget about them because I'm so busy doing other things. Or procrastinating. Oops. I keep dreaming of making the right kinds of friends who'll help me out so I can trade for it and not do any of the actual work. Cos I mean I know I can't make the art they need anyway. I'm 'artsy' but my art isn't presentable for public consumption. I just want them to be done and pretty. I don't even care about the pet spotlight. I just want pretty pets with their fleshed out and finished stories.

After 2 years, I finally gave Gill a profile! It's still not finished but it's getting there.

Now to procrastinate on all my other pets.

- Individuals who seek low level IDs I think do it because they like to collect something rarer. I also think partly its the prestige of having pets that were created a long time ago.

I've been incredibly lazy with my pets. I have all the components set to complete a couple but I'm not doing it. Dragging my feet :/
