oh my god a thread for how I feel this is the greatest. I haven't managed to finish A SINGLE PROFILE and I've been on this site forever. Also hello all you other lazy bums, nice to meet you all. :---D

It's probably partly because I'd like to do everything myself, including coding and art, but my knowledge of html/css is minimal, so so far I have only managed to mess around with 's ready (beautiful amazing perfect) profiles. For some reason I keep procrastinating writing the profiles despite most of my pets having characters already. (Although I keep revamping and re-revamping them constantly. Perhaps if I managed to write them down their tales would be more set in stone and not continuously changing)

Aaand like many others here, I've got a gallery full of 'to be added' TC items, but sadly buying MKBs is super tedious and time-taking. That, and most of the time I am only graced with one new slot.

.... Guess if I just noticed that the little coding I have managed to make is all skewed now for some reason. Did subeta do something to the pet profiles or is this just me being incompetent.

I dunno what they've done to profiles - I haven't looked at the coding aspect but I know some of the pets I have with profiles have errors/mistakes that weren't there previously :( Welcome to the group! Pick a pet and start slowly working on it!

Yeah, it looks like Rolled out the "UPdated forum groups aka cults" and now everything sucks balls. Browsing is good! I discovered last night while going through the shops for TC items that you can do some decent restocking at the same time. Made profit and got 50+ TC items!

Do it. I believe in you. Set aside an hour, pop on some music and write!

No no no. You write, then you save. Then you go back in a few hours and write more. You never delete everything! Bad! Bad Far!

I've even finished a few pets only to one day decide to rewrite their stories... which never gets done. I get on my laptop (because the interwebs is so much less tempting on that slow thing), start writing a few lines, deleting them, writing a few more, deleting them, then staring at the screen until I give up. :'(

The only thing I sort of get done is their treasures.

Never delete writing! Just keep starting over a few lines down. Then take a break for a few days, come back and see what stands out to you as a really good idea! Trust me, I know all about the perils of writing. I have notebooks filled with half started pet stories - mostly for - that I never finished because I wasn't happy. But I know they are there because amidst all the shit (Not saying your writing is shit, its probably very good! You're your own worst critic I find) there may be a small glimmer of a gem, or even a massive one that you over looked because after writing for 30 minutes and not being happy with the overall picture you've missed something that could be a brilliant point in the overall story.

I actually try not to delete big pieces of text, unless it's because I intend to rephrase them, but sometimes my finger just slips. The delete button is so tempting. xD I actually have ... checks ... four or so different documents with different stages of editing of one pet's story.

Ahh, but reading through this thread makes me want to put in some effort. :o I may actually try today. clings on to determination

And you make sure to hang on to that motivation until you get home. ;)

I noticed that the br line break tag was messing up some of mine in inconvenient places where it previously hasn't, I'm not entirely sure why this is. :o

Also thanks for the advice for not deleting text! It's... entirely too tempting, although with me I hardly ever end up actually pasting any of the text I've written onto the profiles. I think I shall start with Vincere, as he has been on my mind a lot these past few ... .. months... . I'm in a pinch now with schoolwork (deadline next Tuesday with two books and essays about each of them) but I shall try to write at least the first part of Vince's story as soon as I can. I enjoy working on TCs, but I usually do that just to procrastinate on actual writing, sigh.

Right now my goals for him shall be:

1. Profile story (Lothering, Circle, Kirkwall, (after?)
2. Friend/relationship talk.
3. drawing something myself. (bust/fullbody, who knows)

This thread is perfect. I'm so terribly lazy with working on my pets.

I get the inspiration to work on one, and then I half ass it and then decide to work on another and it's just a continuous, menacing cycle of getting nothing done

Aww thanks. :) I got really lucky snatching a sp slot from [user=doc-roe] last year. They did an amazing job making my character look so badass.

And you are so right about working on tc's being good procrastination for writing. At least then you can tell yourself that you're actually working on the pet, makes you feel less guilty.

Motivation via peer pressure.. now how does that sound so familiar? ;)

All of them xD I'm really bad at focusing, but I'm trying to write out characters, designs, and ideas and then focus on each pet individually. Alex and Sequoias are the ones I've worked on most recently, I'm trying to learn coding so I've been messing around with the premade by Chen and looking up different profiles/internet sources to figure out all the modifications. Hopefully I can use it on all my pets eventually, and make more creative backgrounds :P

I'm never satisfied with what I write. I can spend 2 years on the same paragraph and still feel like it's wrong.

This is a topic made for me. I work months on a pet, and sometimes i don't touch them for a year.

I've been adding tc items to Joeri his tc for two years now, and he is still constantly rejected for the pet spotlight so i always get demotivated to continue with him.

Months ago i thought out a new idea for Laure, a few weeks ago i finally wrote something, today i finally gave her a new profile.

Hi Id love to join you all, I've bought an overlay from Issane, and got a great theme for my two pets, some TC things, but haven't a clue about making a pet page that will look good with the theme, Im not even sure what to ask for so im stumped, so I sit looking at the bland white page.
