Wisdom teeth pulled. :(

Nurrs. ): I remember when I had mine done. Hopefully your experience is as decent as mine was. I woke up so high in the clouds though lol. Started walking around asking the nurses, "Have you seen my mommy?" lol.
Dude I totally hope I end up like that. I'm like counting on it.

I had one advantage most people done. Several months prior to my wisdom teeth being pulled (all 4 at one time), I had had a serious surgery so my body was still slightly weak from that and the anesthesia worked wonderfully. I was on the pain meds they give you for a single dose and was immune to all pain after that because of the high dosage meds I had been on for the surgery lol. Felt like a breeze.
Ah that IS lucky.
I'm just trying to not let anyone tell me any bad stuff since I go in in just a few hours.

Nothing bad. Obviously you won't feel a thing and even though you'll be sore a couple days, shouldn't be much pain. You'll just probably be loopy as heck for a bit lol.
Yeah I have to take the stronger pain meds as I'm allergic to the other stuff. My concern is you have to make sure you "eat" so the pain medicine doesn't make you sick but how are you supposed to eat if you can't even open your mouth?

Apple sauce! I swear by that stuff post surgery and wisdom teeth. So easy to eat and you can add cinnamon to it. Mostly though, anything soft. Smoothies or even just like Ensure protein shakes. But mostly it's just a day or two at most that you "can't open your mouth". The rest of the time it'll be one of those things where you don't want to eat anything too hard but you can because your front teeth work just fine. ^^
Yeah I've got a whole lot of options I picked up at the store.

see i could never write an essay the night before! i'm one of those crazy people who has it done a week before the deadline XD so i'm jealous that you can do that XD
yeah, it really annoys me that technically with english, as long as you can justify your point, technically you could be right, but if it's not on their list of answers, you fail! i understand that those marking the tests have hundreds to mark, but still, i wish they'd just read the answers and say 'well, although it's not on the approved answers (i.e. the single answer they think is right) it is a well argued and understandable point!' i did about 20 practise tests for my english exam, and i never got a high mark, because i couldn't get my mind to work like the examiners! grrr!

of course you can :D nice to meet you!

Thank you! Sorry about the double post.
Er... I'd have something more interesting to say, except it's half past twelve in the morning and I'm in a food coma from eating a whole bag of twisties.
it's ok ^^ it's easy done :D
i don't have much to say either. it's 2:26pm here, and i just got home from walking the dog. so now i just want to relax in front of the computer, watch some shows and stave off the urge to nap

That's good. ^^ Hopefully it went well.
Well you get marks worth your effort. I'm just a huge procrastinator and it sucks. I barely passed high school even though I think I had a B average? I cheated most of the time and copied from other people on big projects we had lol. If I could redo that whole part of my life (just school mind you), I'd have definitely made different choices, including what classes I would have taken. I've just been trying to better myself at school and get the grades I know I'm capable of. That's my goal for next semester when I start at a new school again.
Exactly! And exams in general are hard. I found out a couple semesters into college that I have test anxiety, which is why I don't do too well and technically I can get extended time for the "disability" but I prefer to push myself and make myself better by getting it done in the designated time allowed. I've gotten better at it, too! But yea, so long as it gets your point across and you can justify your answer and reasons with facts, I don't see why an essay should ever be marked wrong because it wasn't the "right" answer.
Welcome to the chat. ^^
see, i hated school so much that even if i'd failed every single class, i wouldn't go back. everyone else went to a party in the park after our last ever day, i went home and sang and danced like mad because i was so happy to be out of that place XD
yeah, i mean, fair enough being marked down because you've written something that is plain wrong, but if it is a well argued answer, then it should be fine. that's why Uni was better since the lecturers marked all our essays and exam questions, so we had a lot more leeway.
i got extra time for disability too (mainly to do with my fibromyalgia and the rubbish that comes with it, like insomnia and depression), i was given an extra week and a half on my final dissertation, in the end i handed it in early, and was actually the first in my whole year to hand it in. i think i was like 4 days early on the original deadline, so for me, about 2 weeks more :P but i had other stuff to work on (my final script) and if i looked at that dissertation one more time, i would have either destroyed it or myself XD

It wasn't the best time of my life either, but for personal gain and getting myself back on track in the world, I would have. That was also the time I quit softball, which is my only regret in life. If I could take that back, I would. I was a great player and loved the sport and, I wholeheartedly believe this, it was the reason why I lost of motivation and focus in life. Sure I had a couple other programs that filled the void, but it wasn't the same.
I will say I've definitely enjoyed the grading process of college more than high school, and even though I dislike reading for non-pleasure reasons, I've read more books in school now than I ever did in those 4 years I spent at high school.
That's awesome lol! If I were more like you, with not being a serious procrastinator, I probably would be the same. This time around at school, I plan on doing much, much better and getting my work done before it's due and keeping up better with assigned reading. I'm even considering a "reading" class because I want to expand my vocabulary to the fullest potential I can (so much so I've thought about taking 10 words per letter from the dictionary a month and learning them just because).
