It seems like it was a fairly quick thing. There's long-term projects and short-term projects. Sometimes you need to complete short-term projects to get them out of the way and to break the monotony of the long-term ones. As well, if nothing was happening on here because staff were only working on the long-term projects, people would complain.
People aren't happy no matter what. As well, I don't agree with you that it matters that this was pushed before the wardrobe. There are some issues which need to be fixed, but eh.
@ SEA Maybe I just don't care as much about something in a game, which is perfectly fine. Yes, the wardrobe needs to be fixed and yeah, it should've been fixed before something new based on it was released but people are over-reacting in this thread. As well, despite people saying, "No we're (speaking for everyone) upset because of this reason," most people are just saying, "This isn't a feature I'll use so it's pointless."
Really though I think it's neat and once it's working properly it'll be useful so I don't really care.
[edit] I can see some people are really upset about this. Some of them the usual crowd who get worked up. Oh well.
I think some users just no longer have any confidence that this will ever function properly, based on staff's track record of revamping and/or fixing things only to allow them to sit for months, still broken...
Well it's a cool idea for sure. A tad bit unnecessary, but cool none the less. Will something be done about how cluttered it's getting down there in the bottom left corner for posting. There is just sooooo much text and options now. Maybe a drop down list or something?
Thanks for the good times Subeta!
Once again: This feature was already programmed and was pretty much just turned on / adding via the HTML. I appreciate the feedback on what features you'd like being worked on, and those things ARE being worked on. We've been pushing bug fixes and in my time to break up working on bugs / achievements / forum groups, I pushed a bit of code I'd written months ago.
I totally understand wanting the things that you want fixed to be fixed, but other users have different priorities and if I can turn on a feature that they'd like without doing more than 30 minutes of work, that is actually a really good use of time.
Now to figure out why it broke at some point in the middle of the night. :)

This was... not needed, given how many parts of the site are broken or hanging on by a thread.

Just pushed a fix for outfits - it was the ghosting fix last night that broke them. All of your outfits should work now :)

Are you aware that this seems to have eaten my zombie skin? I'm not sure if it's just me, and I do deeply apologise if it's something you knew about and was "fixed" but I just posted somewhere else and I was human.

Eaten your zombie skin in what context? It's showing up just fine for me?

This isn't even a little bit important or needed.
am so pissed off. The new function is put through for avatar changes on the forums.. and the wardrobe dies again. Was it that important to change that that you had to risk killing the hair salon, and save function for avatars AGAIN? So mad.
Oh good. It's showing up for me now, too. Maybe it's just when the post goes through the skin doesn't show up? Maybe it just fixed itself. I don't know. I'm so sorry for bothering. (And I'm kind of sorry for everyone complaining about how this isn't necessary without realising that you didn't actively work on this instead of achievements or something, that you just flipped a switch basically. Please don't get mad and kill the site.)

Will something be done to "beautify" this?
It's a getting a tad bit cluttered down there. :(
Thanks for the good times Subeta!
The HAs are fullsize for me unless my browser is not "maximized" or opened all the way. I haven't tried it on my netbook yet. They like, autoresize, which is odd. Are you working from a smaller/nonstandard window or resolution?
Yes, I always have custom size (width) windows, usually 2 side by side, because I have huge widescreen monitor. It's quite unbearable to work with such broad far stretched fullsize windows, when half displays everything and is bigger than an A4 horizontal. Plus I need to work in both simultaneously. But, oh my God, you're right, the HAs resize at certain widths! I have always hated this "new" way of displaying, one more reason to do so. (So many things to personalize on here, just not that!)
But thanks for solving the mystery, lol !
Ok, I'm confused - I posted with one of my saved outfits, and it's showing my HA without my zapper or zombie skins (all the options on choose outfit are normal skinned). I've tried refreshing the page, opening the actual avatar image & hard refreshing, but nothing seems to work :(

Hmm. the gender doesn't seem to save with the outfit. This HA should be female. Kind of messes up the usability of this feature
I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this issue, but if I click on the "Choose Outfit" button more than once, it shows my outfits multiple times as well.
I'm using Chrome and here's a picture of what I mean:

haha no prob. I'm sure someone out there has some custom CSS for this but I woudn't know who to go to :( It seems like it'd be a simple fix for someone who knows how to do that shit.
So, in the beta wardrobe, my hair is layered last (at the bottom) but it shows up over the top of everything. If I physically move it around, it'll fix, but it starts out overtop of all of the wears.
