Yep! I think rewarding people who use the feature a lot with things that make it even more convenient to use is a nice concept xD Harder recipes could either be unlocked by participating on events / site activities (like Keith mentioned, like a small food festival could be, etc) or by constantly using the feature. Considering that some foods could be recipe-exclusive, I think all gourmet users would be incentivized to try it out (but without overstressing the system, since they can always buy off someone else)! Or shorter cooking times, too ^^

I could even see some sort of bonus (it would have to be a rare one, though) that gives you +1 point towards the gourmet achievement, without adding to the food pile. Something similar to what Mystic Spindles is to intelligence vs books read!

It actually gives a whole another dimension to the gourmet achievement -- like Pete, after appreciating good food for a long while, why not have your pet test some great recipes? Technically the gourmet title is already "master chef", heh xD

oh i loved the recipe book idea !! but not so much about the part of creating a new item (that you could sell or maybe not) i think that working on discovering a recipe as part of a game, plot, achievement, etc is enough

there's no need to create more almost impossible to buy items for people that collect, in this case, all the food perhaps some art recipe book, like the stamps from cash shop, and people would be able to look at your book, perhaps trying to find a clue on how to discover the full recipe on their own

Woaah, I love this.. I'm a food collector so I think this kind of addition would be fun! Although achievements usually mean insane price hikes.. None the less, it seems neat.

I was on the fence about this idea until the mention of earning the recipe. That would be really cool... this could also be a way to reintroduce some food items that were event specific, like the cruise foods... some of them anyway. No new art required for the food item, just for a recipe card. The recipe cards would make fun quest shop items from Pete as well.

this has taken a nice turn! earning the recipe sounds cool, and i think putting the items in petes quest shop (maybe the ingredients) keeps it from being too rare or too attainable

That would be really cool, although something would have to be done to prevent prices for ingredients from inflating.

Maybe implementing quests for the different food places in order to get certain ingredients for Fantine's recipes. Just a thought.
