And my attitude "reflects poorly on the band as a whole"? My band may tell me so if they feel that way. You are not part of the band, and you are also not my mother, so you don't get to tell me that I must change my attitude.

I like trophies much better than wearables, and feel that they are more valuable - you cannot buy or sell a trophy, and they have more physical presence than an achievement.

If you want the Granny Smith custom items you can pick them up for less than 4 million. If you wanted custom items for genre winners, well, you didn't come in second place overall, but still got a trophy. So, we can be unhappy together I suppose.

My feedback is: I am disappointed that my band did not get a trophy, as I love trophies. If that makes me whiny or sour, I didn't leave the feedback here for you.

This is so embarrassing for the other band members and supporters of The Granny Smiths. At least we have gracious winners compared to such sore losers.

Staff doesn't deserve this.

I wasn't intending to lump all the supporters or even all the band members in one group, only to clarify that I wasn't sure if the posts I'd seen came from the supporters or from the band members themselves since, like I said, I didn't follow the band during the contest so I don't know who is who. I'm sorry if it came across like I was; that definitely wasn't my intention.

At what point did I claim to be anyone's mother, a band member, or that anyone needed to change their attitudes? I just pointed out that what I have seen is pretty disappointing and comes across as super ungrateful.

The thing about feedback is, when you put it out there, you're also opening up discussion for feedback on your own concerns. I'm just as allowed to put in my opinion on the issue as you are, and I did. Sorry you disagree with it, but that's how I see things, and it's just as valid a post as any.

A lot of people got prizes out of this that may or may not be as valuable to them as something else is. There's really no pleasing everyone, because everyone puts a differing amount of value on different things. I'm sorry you didn't get the trophies you want so much, but you got SOMETHING, and it was something that not many other people had the opportunity to get.

Okay the thing is, the championship was essentially between all the genre winners. The bands that won their genre were the only ones eligible for the grand championship, and the Granny Smiths didn't win. The genre winner that got the most points was then the one that one. Yes, you also happened to be the second place overall, which is great but if another genre winner had come in second? They wouldn't have gotten anything special for it either.

In all honesty I think it was a mistake for staff to award a Runner Up just because it was a close fight. It's done nothing but cause a lot of ill-will, it seems.

funny jokes because someone said something stupid are not personal attacks. If "everyone please be nice all the time, you're ALL right" like we're at a daycare is the way the forum is run, maybe "at least you tried :) " prizes aren't so unlikely after all.

Why reward people who are unappreciative and then make further demands in this kind of manner? Please don't legitimize bad behavior and temper tantrums. The custom consolation prizes went above and beyond imo.

The note about staying on-topic and avoiding personal attacks specifically mentioned using a gif, which you did not. I don't think you were being included - I'd recommend taking it down a notch. :)

On-topic myself, I think a major issue is how much staff underestimated the value people place on having items about them/their band on site. Having exclusivity thrown on top of that just seems like too much - I can see one or the other but not both. So I actually really like how the Granny Smiths were showcased - they have items based on them on-site but those items are reasonable to obtain.

Horns and Roses won Granny Smith's genre. That means that Granny Smith lost their genre.

Just like what happened in all of the other genres. One team won, and the rest of them lost.

Granny Smiths were recognized by staff for having an especially good score. They were especially mentioned in the news and given two special prizes.

They were not named genre winners, or winners of any other kind, so they did not receive any of the prizes that the 'winners' received - including achievements and trophies.

One bad apple, whole bunch, etc.
