I think it's a nice touch. Don't think it will be the saving grace for new people to stay. I think that relies more on how well the site is working. It's a silly dream I know, but it would be nice if the site ran smoothly each year and not like 5 yrs ago...or just a few months ago:P

I'm glad they've added this feature, I've always wondered why they didn't add an award when loyalty boxes were first introduced (was already a 2-year member then so I wasn't disappointed much! xD) It's nice now that new people could get something now! :D

I saw some of my friends getting the achievement, but I didn't really pay attention... apparently I have not been to my dashboard in some time lol. Neat! Thanks guys! But yeah, I agree, a news post or something would have been nice. ^^;

Oh thank goodness I randomly stumbled upon this thread ! I had no idea what or why I'd gotten a "new" achievement and a GA while looking at my dashboard earlier. I loved it just in case, thank heavens I didn't just immediately assume it was a glitch or a bug yet again and delete it.... cause we've seen this stuff happen.

I also thought at first it was a glitch since there have been quite a few with the new achievements system, so I checked the achievements bugs! thread and they had posted there that it wasn't, but I agree it really should have been a news post as well :)
