Even with regular brushing my dog still gets mild buildup on her teeth and gums. I'm not saying that her mouth is like a black lagoon, I'm only saying that by winning she could get her teeth professionally cleaned, which is nice because some of the plaque is impossible to remove manually.

We also adopted her from the humane society, so she came with a few teeth problems.

I'm not saying that if she doesn't win I'm not going to take care of my dog if that's what you think, my sister and I entered this local contest because it sounded like a good chance to get something for 'free.' Free-vet visit, it's like winning a contest for my dog's benefit.

In this contest, everyone gets their family and friends to spread the word about their animal, and whoever gets the most votes wins some cash, I didn't see any harm in asking for help on Subeta.

Please do not think that I don't take care of my pets, I'm not letting her duclaws grow back into her legs, I'm just saying that they RAPIDLY grow, and it's very stressfull to trim a dog's claws when they are skiddish.

Thanks for everyone who voted and/or just support the cause. If I do not win Maggie will be fine either way.

nah i don't think you are failing to take care of your pet at all. i was just curious.

brushing a pet's teeth so that tartar isn't a problem is very difficult... even with vigilant effort.

thank you thank you, and catahoulas are so adorable, and smart too! Mine knows how to speak, lie down, shake her paw, give me her other paw when I say "other paw please," get her leash when I ask her to, and she'll go sit by her food bowl when I ask if she's hungry. :-)

and when she needs to go outside she stands at the door and knocks lightly once.. but if you don't respond in a few seconds she punches the door violently a second time and glares at you lol. ;-)
