Selli is my battle pet, unfortunately she's still in the early 700s per stat Dx My second battle pet is only reaching the 500s as well, so I def need to stop slacking on training x-x Autotraining for one month costs the same as one custom,... suddenly seems affordable to me, hahah, so I might just go with AT for a while~

I was holding a pet for a friend a couple months ago and I decided to "test" how much AT could be useful for smaller pets xD (since I keep hearing battlers say it's overpowered) I autotrained her for ~20 days and indeed it made A BIG DIFFERENCE, she went from the basic 10 stats to even 200s :o But I definitely won't complain hehe now if I could cut my custom spendings it would be perfect ugh
Oh, that's awesome ^_^ Anon gifts are probably one of my favorite things in Subeta (I don't know of any other site that allows it?), I usually have lots of fun gifting around xD It's been a while since I last did it, I should start programming so I can do it on luminaire or maybe even halloween~

Haha, yes - the smaller the pet, the more autotraining is worth it! Idk, if a newbie asked me for tips on training, I'd probably suggest autotrain for a bit, since no one is going to be there 24h clicking the buttons every 45 minutes :x That's a lot of stats you'd be losing (or at least delaying) while doing unimportant things like working and sleeping!

LOL, unimportant stuff that has to be done! XD Autotraining is very useful and easy. All I do is click the delete buttons on the events :P I'd give up on training if I did it manually, as I'd eventually forget >.>

Eh, the orb just gives +1 speed :/ But that's probably not what you want to do at this point!
You'll probably want to use boosters when 1) your pet is too strong and only gets a couple sessions of training per day, so each stat actually takes a long time/is expensive as well orr 2) there's an event going on, you're about to get into a new tier, and you need this to be able to use an important weapon/be a good match for an specific challenger xD
Right now, you can either do Shinwa's quests to hoard the boosters you get (as in, vault them!), or you can sell the boosters for a decent amount of sps. If you sell them, you could use the sps to buy books, weapons and scrolls to your pet :P
Books: books give your pet more intelligence, which means more alchemy points. The amount of alchemy points a pet has determines what scrolls (and how many) they can use. Healing scrolls can be really useful! There's a scroll guide here, it is a bit messy, but at least gives you some names of items you could look up later xD
Weapons: Here. Try to invest in good weapons that your pet won't outgrow too fast xD (yeah this is hard for the first couple tiers, so you can just look for the cheapest options if you really need to buy stuff)
Stat boosters: Here! This list isn't complete, it seems, but it has most of the boosters for a reference xD (then you can check them up on SL to make sure of stats if needed)
At any point, if you have the patience, it's highly recommended to visit Reischen for doing some battle quests ;D He will give you opponents (one at a time), and you'll always fight them (if you can) at their base stats. (Wins in BQ will also not count towards your total against that opponent, but this isn't important at this point!) When you're done with it, you'll go back to him and he'll give you a crappy item, a ridiculous amount of sps and experience points xD With this EXP, you can "buy" stats in the "spend EXP" link on the battledome - although hoarding EXP is also recommended (same reason as boosters), you can use it for buying level, as autotraining level is not really worth it! (I personally never do :x)
Andd idk I feel like I typed a lot when I dont even know much about battling so erm... all I can recommend is reading the guides and looking up the weapons/battle-related items! A lot of guides got obsolete with this revamp, so the BD guys are slowly rewriting it all @
