I've made a rp group for this Join away!
I'll wait until everyone is finished with their intros to add another post.
(Is that everybody?)
- Robin wasn't sure how long it had been since the dragon escaped when she came-to. She open her eyes, cringing when she felt pain in her arm. She couldn't remember being attacked by the dragon, only being knocked out by a powerful blow from the dragons tail. She glanced at her arm, and immediatley wished she hadn't. Stupid dragon, she thought furiously. She then turned her attention to the boy tending to her arm. He was a stranger, and he had something wrapped around her arm. A shirt, or something.
"I need to go," she said, sitting up and glancing around for her bow. She was hurt, but she could make use of wild plants to treat the wound and make sure it didn't get infected. She glanced at the wound again and realized that to keep tracking the dragon without going to a town or city first would be near impossible. The blood was soaking through the boys shirt, and she was starting to feel light-headed. "Um.." Robin shook her head, trying to think straight. "Who are you?" she asked. "How did you know I was here?"
ooc; Blaah, sucky post. >_<
Justin looked back in the direction the other girl had run off in. "Uh... no. You can't." He said, looking down at her as she sat up. He noticed her looking around, at her arm, at the trees. "Who are you?" she asked. "How did you know I was here?" She asked. "My name is Justin. A girl- I think a Hunter- ran off to get help," I hope He thought to himself. "She should be back soon," He pressed his shirt into her wound a bit harder and added, "I'm a Savior. I was just hoverboarding when a saw a green dragon fly out of the trees, and came down here to check out what happened.... then I found you, and the other girl was running off towards the city..." He sat quietly again, studying her face. "Oh, here's some water," He held the shirt in place with one hand and reached for the bottle with the other.
He trickled some water on her arm to clean off some blood and see the wound better, but immediately wished he hadn't. He grimaced and covered it back up with the shirt as more blood dripped out. "Here, drink some of this," He handed the water to her, then remembered he didn't even know her name. "I told you who I am, so who are you?"

- Robin watched Justin as he told her who he was, and how he found her. "Oh, here's some water," he said, trickling some over her arm. Robin cringed, gritting her teeth to stop her from crying. It took a lot for her to cry. "Here, drink some of this," he said, handing her the water. "Thanks.." she said, drinking some of it before she set it down on the ground. It steadied her a little.
"I told you who I am, so who are you?" Justin asked. "My name's Robin," she said. "I'm a hunter. I was tracking the green dragon that you saw. He got pretty mad when I attacked him. All I remember is being knocked out, though. He must've bitten my arm when I was unconscious..." she murmured, looking away. But then why didn't he just kill me? she thought, frowning. It just didn't make sense.
(Maybe I'm reading your post wrong, but I keep getting the impression that James is the 'dragon rider' you mentioned- but he's not a dragon rider yet. He's pursuing the dragon on his hoverboard at the moment. Also some of the dragons can be in close proximity but mostly they're just wherever. Fickle creatures, they are.)
To say that James was angry would be an understatement. Beneath the grief that coated his heart like the thick caramel of a candy apple was a spark of white hot anger that was spreading like wildfire. It was times like these that he dreamed of being a hunter- less restrained to just the city with the knowledge and strength to track down and eliminate more wild dragons- instead of a savior. It was times like these that he hated dragons almost as much as gramps had. He stifled a sob as he continued his pursuit of the bronze.
To add to the excitement of a city battle, Firth got the pleasure of seeing a green fly by with an arrow lodged between it's shoulder blades. He was aware that the relationship between humans and dragons was getting exceedingly tense, but he didn't figure he'd see multiple fights in a single hour. At least not in such close proximity. He debated going after the green, maybe see what went down, but instead he turned his attention back toward the city. The boy was nearly on the bronze now, his gun ready to fire. It occurred to Firth that, as a dragon, he should probably help his brethren, but he had no place in the fight.
He flew up a bit higher, finding a tall building to hide himself on. He made sure there was a shadow- didn't matter how big as long as it existed- and melted himself into it to continue watching the boy. Oh, today was an exciting day indeed.
(((click here for a quick sketch of Blair!)))
As the other figure approached, Blair was surprised to realize that the Hunter was another woman, albeit one with hair cut close short and pressed to her scalp by a tuque. Alerted by her cry, the woman slowed to a stop in front of Blair, unceremoniously squatting to the floor and breathing heavily. Her worn clothing and muscular build still suggested a Hunter, but the fact that she had no pack or visible weapon cast some doubt on the theory. Blair briefly wondered if she’d only distracted a Savior from their perimeter sweep.
The woman seemed to have caught her breath and turned her gaze from Blair’s prosthetics to her face. "Hey, not to be rude or anything, but I have to get to the city as fast as possible. There's a severely injured Hunter back there and I'm fresh out of supplies."
So not hunting her dragon, then. The tension in Blair’s shoulder blades receded only slightly as she took in the new situation. Hunters didn’t encounter each other often, but they had a certain kind of solidarity only forged by hunting the same vicious fire breathing reptiles. Blair was loathe to stray from her mark, but she was even less enthusiastic about the bad karma she’d have for overlooking another Hunter with possibly fatal injuries. “I’ve got some medical supplies,” she said. A fresh pack of gauze from the last town, at the very least. “If you point me in the right direction, I could go and see what I can do.”

OOC: Ohhh! I thought he was a dragon rider. ^^: I'll edit my post. :) And ok!! Thanks! :)
BIC: Cardine's sharp blue eyes took a quick catalog of James's face as they made eye contact, noting his pained yet furious expression with a mixture of determination. She continued to follow them, but stayed back. She decided that she would accompany James but make no move unless he needed her assistance.Once she glimpsed James drawing his gun, she followed suit, gripping it tightly while glancing around at her surroundings. Cardine sighed. Sometimes she wished that she would be free to leave the city, to explore the world outside and have an adventure. But she knew that would never happen. Because she was bound to her duties and was meant to stay rooted in the city, ready to help the powerless humans in need. (hah, unsure what to type. :P)
OOC: Is Ladon at the same pond that my dragon Everest is at? :)

Melanie stood up in relief. She didn't have to run all the way to town after all.
"Well, hey. I need to go back there to get my stuff anyways. We might as well go there together. And I can provide help if you need it." Glancing at the Hunter's legs once again, she laughed nervously. "Uhh, I take it you don't have any mode of transportation with you. And my hoverboard was completely demolished a few days ago. So, um. Getting her back to a medical center might be...pretty slow going."
Melanie knew more than anything that Hunters absolutely loathed time setbacks. She herself was only focused on getting to a city, and since she would be getting there anyway, the detour wasn't that big of a deal. Plus, the dragon she was hunting was a obvious and easy to track as an elephant on an ant farm. Most other Hunters, on the other hand, had it much tougher. An hour of distraction or rest could mean completely losing their dragon. Melanie just hoped that this Hunter didn't have such a schedule on her hands.

OoC: Redoing intro ignore this post.
Um... would you possibly still be accepting people for this? It seems that you've just started, and the plot is really interesting.
Nope, it's never too late to join! Go ahead and post your characters and stuff. I'll get a post in here tomorrow. <3
Awesome!
Name: Adrien Furn (Ade) Age: 17 Gender: male Rank: dragon rider (of sorts) Ability: none Element: earth Appearance: he wears a collared white shirt with a light blue blazer that is usually unbuttoned, and a thin tie. A set of khaki pants and a pair of sneakers completes his general attire. He has dirty blond hair that just reaches his shoulders, and his bangs fall over his right eye. There is a set of silver bangles on fis left wrist that was a gift from his older brother. Slim, not very muscled, constantly looks like he'll snap in a strong gust of wind. Other info: he's an avid fan of pre-apocalypse books, and while the interpretation sometimes escapes him, he enjoys reading them nonetheless. Not the best believer of the whole dragons-and-humans-coexisting theory, and is more with Mercurial because of the near-mutual need for babysitters after an unfortunate prank-gone-wrong separated the fledgling Merc from the rest of his nestmates. Enjoys reading out loud to others, particularly to Merc. While he generally does not like to stray far from rules, there are times when he gives in to his adolescent male desire to play pranks, which frequently require Merc to execute a speedy getaway.
Name: Mercurial (Merc) Age: young Gender: male Rank:N/A Ability: none Element: lightning Appearance: he's a smallish (big enough to carry Adrien with little room for anything else after) dragon of a metallic bronze sheen. Bright green eyes, and the membranes of his wings are black. he has a long tail with a prominent burn scar near the tip. Other info: as a fledging, his nest underwent a disastrous prank by some wannabe Hunters while his parents were away. As a result, he was separated from the rest of his nestmates and has developed a dislike of most adolescent boys. Especially if they have fire. He met Adrien when the boy traversed to the ruins in search of a book, where he proceeded to attempt to scare him away. Unfortunately, Adrien was not deterred from his book, and ended up forcing Merc to read the story with him. With his dragon's intelligence, he usually corrects Adrien'smisinterpretations, and while he does not find any of the pre-apocalypse stories worth reading, he enjoys listening to Adrien's voice. Because both are young and prone to mischief, they classify their relationship as mutual babysitters rather than human-tamed-dragon, and Merc throws a fit when antone tries to prove otherwise.

Blair pursed her lips, running the numbers in her head. She didn’t want to give the dragon more of a lead on her but with the time it’d take to carry an invalid into the city, she would lose him for sure. On the other hand, if she simply patched the wounded Hunter up and let this woman take her to the city herself, she could still make up the lost time.
Or I could even just give her my meds and continue tracking. Blair quickly dismissed that idea – the time saved wouldn’t be worth the cost of the supplies lost. No, she’d see to the injured Hunter herself. She shrugged her shoulders, shifting her bag into a better position, and flashed a tight grin.
“Lead the way.”

Melanie smiled in gratitude. "Ah, thank you so much!"
Without another word, she turned back in the direction she came and began sprinting once again. Her speed mostly came from the urgency of the situation with the injured Hunter, but she admitted to herself that part of it was competition. Most Hunters felt validated when their number of slain dragons was higher than the rest. It was almost like an unspoken race between them. Melanie, however, had never actually slain one. She cringed at the very thought of it. She didn't think she could kill anything, let alone a magnificent dragon. No, her pride came form the small, insignificant victories: sneaking up on another Hunter, pulling a prank, defeating one in friendly combat, showing off a little, heck, even beating another in reaching a fallen ally. It was also nice to see just how good this Hunter was, especially with the rough terrain.
They finally reached the clearing where she had last seen the girl, but there was another figure already there. That, and the injured girl appeared to be awake and at least somewhat coherent. Even with the handicap, the other Hunter had kept up with ease. Melanie stopped, breathing heavily but making sure to appear collected, and like she hadn't just sprinted four miles.
"Hi!" she said brightly. ...almost too brightly. She beamed and pointed at her companion. "I brought help."

- Robin looked up when she heard a bright, "Hi!" She frowned, not recognizing the girl who spoke to her. There was another woman, too, with a fascinating pair of prosthetic legs. "I brought help." the first girl said. "Thanks," Robin replied, not really sure of what to say, or who the other people were. Hunters, or maybe saviors? She wanted to be healed, of course, so she could continue hunting the dragon, but at the same time, she hated needles. Then again, she didn't really have any options.
ooc; Sorry that the post is so short... writers block. :c
"Hi!" a cheery voice said. Justin glanced up after Robin did, and he visibly relaxed. He was very relieved to see the girl who had run off with another woman- the help. "Good, you're back." Justin sighed in relief, sitting back from his crouching position. The shirt unraveled itself after his hands left it, revealing a mess of blood. Justin backed away from Robin, sensing that more experienced help was here. Bringing his knees up to his chest and resting his forearm on his knee, he brought his eyes back to the women that had recently arrived. "My name's Justin. I was just flying around-" His eyes flicked over to where his grey hoverboard sat on the ground, "on break from patrolling, when I found her here," He explained, in case they were curious. "I'm no Medic, but I wrapped up the wound with my t shirt... you're supposed to do that, right?" He worriedly looked between the two girls, hoping he hadn't put Robin in more danger from his lack of medical knowledge.

((Sorry the post is so short and ...bad quality. I just had to throw in a line that showed Melanie's weird sense of humor xD))
Melanie shrugged at Justin's inquiry. "I honestly have no idea what to do in this situation. It seems you did a pretty good job, though. I mean, she looks worlds better now than she did without the T-shirt."
She heard distant roars far below, and wondered absentmindedly what was going on. Probably a Hunter. I shouldn't get involved. Really, I shouldn't; it's none of my business .....BAH! Getting involved WAS her business. Snapping her wings to her sides, Sora let gravity take its course, whilst corkscrewing through the clouds. Really, what was a good show without a few embellishments here and there?
((Sorry for the weak intro, Sora. Anyway, I'll wait a bit before throwing her in any particular place. If someone actually wants to involve her, you can do so; I'll take the hint :P))
art by
(I'll involve Sora, because I have nothing else to post. xDD) Everest was still staring at the sky, lost in thought, as he usually was. The water from the pond behind him lapped calmly, smoothly, able to soothe even his most angriest moods, which were rare. That was the main reason why he was able to regain his composure and keep his cool so efficiently. The other reason was that he didn't think that getting furious at things would solve anything. In his opinion, it would be much better to be peaceful and think things through that way.
A red and white flicker corkscrewed into his vision. Everest eyed at the figure, twisting this way and that with a great amount of agility, That was Sora, wasn't it? He couldn't think of any other dragon with her skill through the air. Well. It was time to stop being a hermit and spend some time with another dragon. He glanced at the pond before unfolding his large blue wings and taking a running leap, letting his wings do the rest of the work. They caught the air and he glided upwards, towards Sora.
I would like to join but was wondering if there are enough dragon riders and their dragons or if it was alright to make another?
(( Yaaaaaaaay! :D))
As Sora fell toward the earth, she saw a flash of blue out of the corner of her eye. Turning sideways, she snapped her wings open again with one thrust. The air crushed itself against every muscle in her body with the sudden resistance, but she willed it to her advantage and stopped in midair. Aw man, she was really out of practice. Her slowing time was a lot longer than it usually was. Turning to face the incoming dragon, she recognized him as Everest. Ha! More like EVER RESTING. He was really too nice and lax for his own good; she almost wished she could see his angry side for once. Had he even been on a city raid before?
Setting her thoughts aside, Sora floated down to meet him.
"Well hello there! I thought I heard someone yelling down here getting their scales kicked. And I certainly don't think that was you. Ha! I bet it was old Rower, wasn't it? That dragon can't tell a human from a fruit tree. What a horn head." She snorted in amusement.
