By having no time for anything else. And we don't do too much in Psychology or Contemporary Health Issues so like... it's not that bad.

ahhhhh
I'm not going to be so screwed in college. Most of my courses are out in the barn anyway except for math and english. (I'm going to Vermont Tech for Equine Studies)

Lucky. I would've loved to do something with horses but... I never got to interact with them much.
In fact I haven't ridden one for a few years now ):
But it's all good cause I'm going into medicine which I love (:

That's awesome! Good for you!!
I've been riding since I was 4 and I've always had a weird connection with them. I'm better around them than people which makes for very few "human" friends hehe. That's the reason I'm going into equine studies. Well that and I want to get into horse breeding.

Thanks (:
But, yay for both of us! (:
Horse breeding sound neat 0: Does that mean you'd own your own stud...farm or something? Horses make awesome friends. I mean, you obviously need some human friends, but horses don't start stuff. (Well my friends never have done that, but I'm pretty lucky in that regard.)
The first time I rode a horse I was 11. And I've loved them ever since. I wish I could go more often, but the place that offers trails rides, Fair Hill, is like 30 freaking miles away.
So do you do any events? Like jumping or dressage?
Personally, dressage looks super boring. Jumping and racing is always more fun to watch. (It's sad when the race horses get hurt though.)

Well I would hopefully work on a few stud farms in Kentucky and get into the breeding buisiness that way.
Yeah I agree. I've been dealing with my "friends" starting stuff so having two horses to go to and just talk to makes me feel better.
I do both. I'm not competing atm but I prefer jumping. I love the feeling of flying over jumps at crazy speeds.
Dressage is super boring. My instructor atm is one of the top dressage riders in the state of maine and she drives me NUTS!!! I want to jump but I'm getting free lessons so I can't take jumping lessons. I'm way better at jumping anyway. My horses are ex-harness racers. (they are the ones that race with the sulkies behind them.)

Oh okay.
I need to take lessons some time, and learn how to jump.
I watched a harness race once. Once they took off I was like wowed. I wasn't ready for them to go so fast ahaha.

Gah I love jumping so much!! Its crazy. I was free-leasing a 14 hh pony who jumped and we used to fly over 4' jumps. The jumps were taller than she was.
Yeah I've retrained both my ex-harness racers. They can be hard to re-train but easier than thoroughbreds

A four foot jump sounds so scary XD
Quarter Horses would have to be one of my favorite breeds. To start off with, they're the only ones I've ever ridden. They also seem more mellow. I'm not sure if it's because I'm comparing a trail horse to an ex-race horse, (and it probably is) but they were as spooky. A friend of mine has two ex-race horses, both TB, of course, and the one (Annie) spooks so easily. The other (Tate) is better but his ground manners are terrible.
Of course once she actually is on Tate he just acts like he's the bestest littlest horse there ever was.
