why am i adopting them out? i want to focus on just a couple of pets, pets that are simply more important to me than the ones shown here.
also. NONE OF THEIR TREASURE ITEMS OR STORY PIECES WILL BE GOING WITH THEM. NONE OF IT. so if that's why you'd be applying for the pet, please leave me alone. i want to see you come up with ideas, not reuse my own. that's too boring.

So yeah, I decided I'm going to apply. The name is beautiful and works with a story I've got.
Application for Live!
This is part of the story that is already written: How she missed him, all those days of longing and waiting in anticipation. He was the only man who could measure up; he was benevolent, nurturing, and above all: responsible. These traits were those that any woman would desire, but in the end these traits drove her to madness and an untimely death. She wasn't so much insane as a true romantic and unconditional lover. Why couldn't he have been a normal man with these traits? If he'd not been in his position, he would've been able to be there for her at all times. They could have spent long hours laying under the moon, drenched in the early dew while embraced in each others' arms on more than one occasion. After she got the taste of sweet love, she couldn't return it, however. The departure of Wright was too much for her to bare. His absences were long and his visits far and few between. How she loved him, and in the days of his training, their love was something not of memory.
When Wright didn't show his face for two gruesome years, she had enough. If her breath could not bring him in on the air's cool tide, she could do only what she knew she could to be with him. Without so much as a second thought, the young lady did what she deemed she must. With one bullet in the chamber of an old, antique gun, she shot. Her soul was to face the trials of damnation, and this is exactly what she longed for. This long expanse of events would bring her to her beloved on numerous, longer occasions. She would have her love within her hollow, deathly grasp. She became a contradiction in physique - normally she would've become a morbid soul, reaped from life with impurity and the cheating of life, but because of his love, she was saved. Her form remained as beautiful as it had been in life despite her deceit, but she grew transparent. Pale, beautiful wings sprouted from her back. They were not the typical pair the deceased 'angels' would be adorned with; however, they were increasingly heavy, imposing the burden she had laid on all those who knew and had loved her. Because of this, she grew tired but restless, burdened yet more beautiful. It was all worth it though, because she finally could have her admiring eyes on her one true love.
Other notes:
- Live would be attached to another of my pets, romantically
- She would have an elemental child, by the name of Crescent
- Artwork used for Crescent will actually be used for Live, because I've decided the design for Crescent would much better fit this character
- Therefore, she already has artwork!
- An overlay will be done, in her feral form, which I have sketched
- I'll commission a profile at some point
The name Live works so well for me, because all this character wants to do is live (by way of love and journey, of course), but she is condemned to a life of death.
This wasn't to say that her lover appreciated the notion, as he inevitably saw the act incredibly different than she...

I've never actually done an application on this site before, I would love to try for Devas. If his color doesn't transfer, I have the map thing completed already so it wouldn't be an issue to re-color him the same. I do have a GA medal in my vault, and a free pet slot.
Semi-off topic-- on one of my thighs I have a tattoo with all kinds of land mythology things; dryad, unicorn, jackalope, satyr, dragon, owl. It's actually where I got the idea for my pets Benjii and Valaeria. Eventually on my other thigh I want to do all water mythology, which is where the idea for Devas would be coming from. ( Click for Val's unfinished tattoo form! And my sexy unicorn! )
I was actually thinking of doing this character with a hydrus kerubi, which is why I was browsing the adoption threads, but I think he would work out a lot better. His name is just great, and the look is much more suited as well.
In Scottish mythology there is a creature called a shellycoat, which kind of sounds lame, but it's basically a boogeyman that haunts and protects rivers, streams or bodies of water. I'd rather him be more animalistic than humanoid, so I had something like this in mind for a look, but just a touch more canine. He could be one of the guardians in Val's forest, tying him in with Benjii, my satyr, as well.
My most completed pet at the moment is Mandi, if you'd like a reference point to what Devas' profile would eventually wind up at. As you know, I do RP my pets and all of them have art and at least a semi-completed profile. I'm not really sure what else to say so I'll stop rambling at just leave it at that. =)

- OxO is so cuute! I have been looking for someone to pair up with Paynter for some time now, and given that she is also a similar color shade as him she'd be "purrfect" for a match!
My story idea ramblings for the pet are here!
Paynter is an artist who more often than not forgets the little things in his works, but he also lacks company. Enter in the rumors on the street about a lovely artist who only signs her work OxO. Rather curious to meet this new artist and build off his work from hers he works with the community's local artists to create a festival where all the artists make work for like a huge mural that will be the feature of the town.
OxO is a rather shy little thing but her art work is bright and bold; a complete one-eighty from the personality that spawns it. Socially she's like Paynter--not one to hold conversations and more likely to look at the floor than at the others' face. But when it comes to art she seems to become animated and bright (At least if she's working on her own) and her artworks reflect happiness and positivity. And Color--lots and lots of color.
I'm sorry! I should've updated my board an hour earlier, that way your efforts wouldn't have been in vain. ;-; But I decided this morning that I was going to move tardy's character to OxO and just repaint OxO later tonight, since I could definitely use the treasure spaces (the character requires the largest treasure spaces of all my pets x__x). Unfortunately, this means that I'm pulling OxO back and she is no longer ufa. However, if you have an interest in Tardy, I will gladly give her to you. She just doesn't fit the whole spectrum theme. :( Sorry again.

- As soon as you posted that apparently I did. I found the name Decima in the Adoption Center and I think I'll manipulate one of my other names to work with the idea I had for OxO. |3 And thank you for at least allowing me the opportunity to apply for OxO though.

Uhm, I was talking with a few friends and I was actually instead of looking into Tardy was considering applying for Ciq. I could probably apply that same scheme like I had planned for OxO, given some major edits and stuff given the color schemes are different. Coloring Indescribable Quality, you know? Could be the name of his art shop, although since he's Reborn I was thinking of him managing some sort of artsy metalwork that makes pictures out of colored flames. :3

Ciq has caught my attention.
I see him as a fairly rough and tumble guy, casual and more concerned with the day-to-day than the future. Of course, the world seems determined to keep him from living his easy-going lifestyle and he's prone to getting caught up in all varieties of chaos and trouble. Fedora-wearing-cigarette-smoking good guy that has a soft place for noire movies and damsels in distress. He dreams of being a PI, but who honestly accomplishes their dreams? Instead, he keeps getting stuck in situations guys shouldn't - Really? The pretty dame from the coffee shop HAD to drop her purse? Lucky me! Except her boyfriend is huge and thinks I stole it. Sigh All smiles and friendly but more than capable of kicking ass and taking names.
He has almost a Harry Dresden type look, in my head. Can't catch a break but keeps on trucking anyway. Maybe with a hint of Rhys from Meredith Gentry...
None of that came out how I wanted to. Damn my sick addled brain!
Edit: I realize my pet profiles are dull and boring. I've cleared a good chunk of them to revamp and just put down basics. Slowly beginning the hunt for art/profiles, but I get distracted by RPs. /shame
