Scarlet hid her nervousness well at the sight of the two men but almost immediatly let it go when Redic laughed pleasantly when he talked to Sorel. She didn't like how the other man was looking at her, and she narrowed her eyes at him when she saw him inch his hand towards his sword. She ignored him, however, and kept her attention instead on Redic.
She gave him a happy grin and bowed to him gracefully "Thank you for your warm welcome good sir. I must admit, you are nothing like what I thought you were going to be. And thank you for keeping my human partner in such good health over the years" she said nudging Sorel in the back with her snout.
Redic smiled. "You thought I was gonna be some super strict dictator did you? Well I enjoy being liked by subordinates. Plus it means I don't have to worry as much about getting a knife in the back some day. I still manage to keep the order now don't I Blaze?" Sorel nodded his head vigorously. "Yessir," he answered hastily. He'd seen what happened when you disobeyed orders of missed your dues. Redic was indeed friendly and fair, but he did not tolerateinsubordination. When he heard Scarlets comment and felt her nudge his back he scowled. "I feel a bit like a victim here," he grumbled. Redic's chuckle didn't help much. Redic was going to miss Sorel. He was a good thief and a decent enough mercenary, but it seemed he had a higher calling than to be some guild rat his whole life. "You'd better get moving Sorel. Word about this kind of thing always gets around somehow and I don't need you bringing trouble to my basetown." Sorel managed to smile. The use of his real name was recognition enough that he wasn't a member of the guild anymore. "Thanks," he said. Then her turned patted Scarlet's shoulder and said, "C'mon you heard the man. We need to get going you great lizard."

(( Um, Corin already gave his name to Osmund in one of your earlier posts; why is he surprised that Osmund knows? ))
Noticing how cold Aze seemed to be, Aquilo wrapped his body around the shivering girl, providing some warmth. Studying the newcomers as the dragon introduced the duo, he nodded, concluding that they had no malicious intent, and introduced Aze as well, seeing as how her teeth were still chattering. I won't completely let down my guard, but they seem trustworthy. If they were with the freaks, they would have just finished us off here and now, he decided. Though, something seemed a bit strange about them...
Smirking slightly at the exchange between Osmund and Corin, the expression turned into a frown at the human's question. "I'd like to know the same thing. Aze and I were attacked as soon as we met, and we've been on the run ever since. I think that was about the fifth attack we've gone through," he added, grimacing.
Suddenly, he realized what that strange thing was that he had noticed. "Osmund, where did you get that mark on your chest?" he asked, spying the snowflake shaped insignia that decorated the older dragon. The mark that, other than the shape, seemed quite like his own.
Scarlet nodded eagerly, more then happy to get going. She never did like being in inclosed spaces for too long. "It was nice to meet you Guild Master Redic. I hope that the next time we meet it will be under better circumstances" she said before turning back to Sorel and started nudging him again towards the passage they just came from. "C'mon c'mon get those legs of yours moving!"
"A pleasure," he responed before shooing them out with a wave of his hand. "That's what I was saying," Sorel objected as he shoved her snout out of his back. As they wanderd down the halls of the underground establishment of the guild he let things set it. He stopped to smile at Wraith. "See ya Aika," he said before returning to the surface. There was a moments delay as it took a moment for the poor girl to recognize her actual name. "Good riddance," she shouted jokinglyand added, "Take care of yourself Sorel" before waving goodbye. Once clear of the guild Sorel turned to Scarlet. "I don't suppose you have any ideas where we should go?" he asked.

Scarlet shook her head slowly "No I don't. I've just been wandering aimlessly for the past two years." she said looking down at the ground. She looked back up at him "I think we need to find others like us. If we are like those choosen in the old legend then we all need to come together to stop Kakios."
Sorel sighed. He had thought his life was going to set and on track, but it seemed that plan had been dashed. They also had no idea where they were going. Throw in the fact that they were some sort of chosen saviors who needed to defeat Kakios, whom until recently he had considered a story to scare children, and his whole world had been turned upside down. "This is way too much for me," he mumbled. "Any guesses on where we should look?" he asked. "I might have said look in each of the respective countries, but seeing as I ended up traveling here already that doesn't seem like such a brilliant concept." He sure as heck didn't know any of them. This was going to be a difficult task especially considering they'd likely be trying to avoid detection.

Sorel wished he could share in the young dragons optimism and enthusiasm. It was hardly uncommon for humans and dragons to travel together. It often provided mutually beneficial relationships. It would take nearly as long to search down every little group. But, he realized, it was odd that there were rumors around this pair in the first place. "It's worth a shot," he said, "but do you even know what country this supposed duo is in?"

Sorel frowned. Further north meant colder temperatures. "I get what you mean," he said with unhappy understanding, "I didn't go this way until I had to. Even then I didn't go as far north as what would probably be safest." He paused. "Let's not go into the reasons for why I left fire country in the first place." He didn't particularly want to get into the whole story about home and his first jobs. Watching her shiver reminded him of the cold he still wasn't used to. He huddled up in his cloak a bit more and cursed the summer he hadn't seen in the three years since he'd traveled here. It would be nice if the snow would ever melt. He wished, not for the first tme that he had some talent with magic. Maybe then there would be a way to make things warmer. "When do you want to head out?" he asked. His personal preferance was to wait til later in the day at the very least. That way he could pilfer some supplies before they headed out. Eveything Sorel owned was either being worn or it the knapsack drapped over his shoulder.

"Well we should probably acquire some supplies before we go. And, I don't know about you, but I haven't eaten a thing all day." she said, letting out and embaressed laugh when her stomach let out a loud growl. Actually, its been a couple days since she last ate something. She may be large to humans but she was still just youngling in dragon years and she wasn't always successful when she hunted. "Why don't you go get supplies while I go find some food?" she asked
Sorel nodded in agreement. Then he laughed as her stomach growled. "I haven't either," he admitted. "I'll let you handle the food then. I know some pretty cheap supply shops so," he trailed off not feeling the need to explain his point any further. "I'll meet you back here," he told her. With everything established he headed off into the thickening crowds. With so many people out now pick pocketing wouldn't be nearly as difficult a task. Now he just needed to acquire some money and buy some supplies.

Scarlet watched him go for a moment before she spread her wings and took off towards the forest. She flew over the trees, scanning the forest floor for any signs of life, preferably something she could hunt. Spotting nothing, she landed in a small clearing and started sniffing around. She came upon some wild pig tracks that seemed fresh and quickly set off after them. It didn't take her long to find her target; a large male boar who was rooting around the base of a tree.
She crouched down low a snuck up on unsuspecting creature. When she was close enough she pounced on it and sunk her teeth into its neck. She dropped the now dead boar on the ground, proud at her accomplishment. Too hungry to wait any longer, she didn't waste anytime and started on the boar; figuring she'll catch something for Sorel after she had a little snack. While she was eating she didn't notice something watching her from the shadows of the trees.
Aze's shivering body calmed down and her muscles were able to relax again. When she was introduced she nodded her head and took caution from Aquilo's warning. Her arms relaxed and returned by her side for a moment, but then one arm moved up to grab the other. No real reason just it was comfortable and gave her more warmth. At Aquilo's question she looked at the dragons chest. It was a mark a lot like hers and Aquilo's. She glanced down at her hand then to the boy. If the boy had the same mark what would it mean? She searched the skin that showed but found no mark.
This wasn't getting her any closer to what was going on. None of it made much sense. Mentaly she sighed and changed her mind to a different subject. Do they have powers like us? She thought. Would it be the same? or different?
Macil walked down the street, avoiding everyone. He glimpsed a flash of black in the clouds, but shook the thought away. "I was barley 13. Just fantasy." He had no friends, stole from people to buy his supplies, and lived in an abandoned guild hall. he kept his hand on his sword, 3 feet of pure steel. The hilt was iron and engraved with a dragon. He never left home without it. On his forehead there was a shadow, but never went away. it was all black, and even if you shined a light on it the mark would stay. He forgot that it related to the dream.
OOC: Will do dragon intro later. thanks for letting me know!
Sorel decided to take a risk in targeting a rather shifty eyed aristocrat. There would be no "accidentally" bumping into him. Not if he valued the head on his shoulders anyway. He casually walked behind him in a small crowd of people to scout the man out. It took a minute for him to spot the coin purse at his side, but he found it and it looked full. He casually walked up to and past the aristocrat. He did not do so without relieving him of the purse however. He had produced some small shears of scissors from his sack and had smoothly cut the strap and slipped it off of the man's shoulder with one clean motion. It was just a matter of doing it inconspicuously, quickly, and not coming in acy actual contact with the victim. Once clear of proximity of the man he checked the contents of the pouch. A satisfied smile appeared on his face as he evaluated the amount. "Enough to buy plenty of supplies," he happily told himself. He was thankful that he had managed to target the man before any other guild members had got him.
Sorel walked out of the supply store with considerable more weight than when he had entered. To name just a few things he had gotten a few more layers of clothes for himself so he could stay warm, any essential camping supplies (which wasn't much when going by his standards), some easily kept food, and a large blanket that could cover the back of a small dragon. He rolled up the blankets and tucked it under his arm after adorning a scarf and gloves and packing as much as he could in the two knapsacks he now had. He made his way cheerfully for the meeting spot while still keeping an eye out for thieves. He looked pretty well off now and he didn't care to have anything lifted off of him.

OOC: DRagon time!
BIC: Menace knew he found who he was looking for. He was a thief, and that was all he needed to know. he just flew around him in the sky like a vulture. His black eyes flashed around, and saw a scarlet dragon. "I'll fight that one later." He landed on a roof and watched The boy called macil. Ha. To call him a boy would be insufficient. He's 23, and very sturdy. Hardly a boy.
Macil saw a red headed person walk down the street into a shop. He came out with a lot of supplies. he walked past a few aristocrats without taking anything, heading towards the boy. He had a small blade concealed in his left hand and walked behind him, slitting the knapsack and stealing a loaf of bread. He quickly hid the "loot" and walked slowly down the street, enjoying the sun. At the same time, another thief was passing by the red headed boy.
Sorel caught the subtle movement. He'd been looking for it. He did nothing to alert the boy that he had caught the motion. He did keep him in his sights and redirect his path so that he could follow him. He was already working on slipping the dagger carefully out of the sheath at his thigh. "Only a fool steals from a thief," he thought angrily. He was aware of a second coming up on him. He made subtle show of flashing the thief his blade. "Steal from me like that last one and you'll regret it," he thought glaring their way. He kept a carefull hold of the knapsack now to prevent anything from falling out of it as he tailed the thief. He doubted he was a part of the guild. Sorel hardly knew everyone form the guild but his name had some power. Or it had until today. Still, word wouldn't have traveled about his abandonment until later.
