They actually last a long time if they are made right, None of mine have busted yet and one of mine is probably around 3 years old. Still I put a bikini top underneath, just in case. Can't go around exposing myself. xD

Ouch, so it's still kind of fresh. It took one of my bad scars about 3 years before it started fading, now it's barely noticeable.

Well not fresh fresh, but I think over time the purple pigmentation should fade away.
