CONGRATS ON THE BABIES!~ I'm glad it went well. So happy for you and Smokey. :-DDD And you have to keep ONE. When a momma has babies and they all go away, they get really sad. I know it's hard to pick favorites, but you can't keep them all, and if you adopt them all out you'll have one sad momma. :-( Especially if it's her first litter. Hope you decide what works best for you and are happy with your decision. But they're all too small, so for now, cuddle them all to bits and pieces!~ <3 XOXO LOVE THEM BABIES CUZ THEY LOVE YOU!

THANK YOU!! I'm proud of us as well, we had a very long day and we both worked hard. Well she worked much harder than I did, but boy was I stressed out XD
Yeah, I want to keep one, but I just don't know how realistic that is, unfortunately. But I don't have to make that decision for awhile, so that's good :D -cuddles kittens-
You have time. I am proud of you both, birth can be dangerous and scary and you went through a long ordeal with your kitty and everyone came out just fine. Give yourself a pat on the back, Hope. You deserve it. <3

Have you given any thought yet to which one you might try and to keep?
yeah, a little bit DX Cookie is a sweetie, the grey and white one. And she was the first born. But I did save Trix's life, and that was a really special moment, so I don't know. And I just love Jet, he's so beautiful. SO I DON'T KNOW XD I won't really be able to tell until they get older and their personalities kind of come out, and I see who gets along best with Smokey, etc. And I don't even know if I can keep one. I'm not even supposed to have Smokey, so adding another is probably not the most responsible thing.
It's going to be a tough choice, I bet. ^_^; I'm sure you'll find them all good homes when it comes time for it
I thought you were trying not to name them! LOL Cute names, though. How did you save Trix's life? And I assume Jet is the all-black cat?

Trix was breech, and he was stuck coming out for quite awhile. He was very weak when he was born, and after a couple of minutes he stopped breathing. I wiped off his nose and cleaned out his mouth with my fingertip and started gently rubbing his ribcage. After about 30 seconds of rubbing, he started breathing again! I was so scared when he wasn't breathing, and Smokey had already turned away from him. But luckily I stimulated something and got him going again :D <3 And yeah, Jet is the black one!
Awww. That is a precious story. Good on you! Especially for doing it so quickly. Mommies can abandon babies if they think they are sick/weak/dead in an effort to protect the others. You saved him and now he is healthy, happy and loved. <3 You are amazing! I wouldn't know what to do.

well I had been told by a friend of my mom's that I may need to clean their faces/mouths pretty soon after birth if Smokey didn't get to it fast enough or wasn't able to break the sac completely, so I knew that. But I was luckily on the phone with my mom when he stopped breathing, and she suggested I rub his chest. He was lying on his side, so I just rubbed along his little ribcage. Luckily it worked! As soon as he took a few breaths he wiggled a bit and Smokey turned back and started licking again, which brought him back all the way. Now he's just as squirmy and squeaky as the other two, he's not showing any negative signs, so I'm very happy about that.
Proud of you for doing your research. :-D You sound like Wonder Woman mixed with a Crazy Cat Lady and a Smart Lady Vet. I'll let that image sink in... I had to look up a lot of stuff when Loki was thrust upon me. Never had a puppy before, and chihuahuas are demanding. The more you know, right?

haha as soon as I accepted that we were having kittens, I looked up the whole process on a few different websites and made sure I knew the basics. My mom's friend sort of fosters abandoned cats until she can find forever homes for them, and she gets lots of pregnant cats coming through, so she's helped deliver dozens of litters. I had a conversation with her and had her give me the run-down. I'm actually glad I researched it, I ended up having to tie off and clip the umbilical cords of two of the babies because Smokey never did. Luckily the sites I read through had told me how to do that, otherwise I would have been like WHY ARE THEY STILL ATTACHED SMOKEY FIX IT XD
LOL That would be me right there. My brother, when something goes wrong yells "FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT" until someone does. XD

haha yeah it's hard to let go of that when you get older and you're the one who has to fix things LOL.
Yeah, he just turned 16 last week. He'll learn.

Congratulations on all of the healthy babies and healthy mama kitty! ^_^ Can't wait to see more pictures/updates. c:
Thank you! I tried to take a picture of them sleeping earlier, but as soon as I grabbed my phone Smokey stood up and upended them and they rolled all over the place XD I'm sure I'll have lots of chances though! Haha.
