We've also had restock wars (pre-Epicon) where you had to restock to earn points for your team. :'D You could sell what you restocked, so you had a chance to net somewhat of a profit from those, but you still had to pay to participate.

I do understand why the OP's feathers were ruffled, but I don't feel like the price for the ticket is too steep, especially considering how messed up the Subeta economy is, how easy it is to earn sP and tokens, and how many people are willing to help others out with getting a ticket. Heck, if you still haven't managed to get a ticket ( ), message me and I'll send you one.

I agree that not all the events are comparable to each other but the OP seems to be stressing that part. This topic seems to be about an issue that exists in theory but not in practice though. At least, not right now for this specific event.

Ah okay, I get the concept of the event not being free for all potentially offsetting to newer users (however, I still stand by the fact that if any user honestly voiced their inability to get a ticket, I'm confident several people would offer to give them one if not flat out just giving them one).

I think the mentality behind that move though (as far as I can rationalize it) is this is supposed to be like an irl event/festival/concert.. which is never ever free. So by that ration, this wouldn't be free to go to, either. Likewise, the same could be said for epicon, since cons are never free, but subeta is kinda bad about using "here and now, not what I said last week or what I'll say next week" logic, so lol.

Then again, not everything is accessible without cost. Look at the omen islands (you had to have access originally, to participate in the plot), blue building, basically every battle achievement ever (so many cost) (such black hole D|), and so on. And someone joining tomorrow will never be able to get any past event/plot related achievements so if they joined next week they'd miss all of these achievements anyways.

I agree with you completely about this whole event.. I've been a member for 4 1/2 years.. and at the moment, I cannot afford the regular event tickets at 1 mil.. and I guess I've been having terrible luck, because I'm never on when they restock. I haven't been able to participate in any of it thanks to those tickets :/

I kinda agree. It's a little annoying to have to buy a ticket just to be able to see stuff. I haven't been playing much lately but I saw the tickets in the token shop and figured I'd check it out. Seems I just bought a ticket to be able to buy more things. xD Oh well.

I think the VIP thing is fine for people who want to pay real money, but I don't think paying 1mil for a regular ticket is really necessary. Don't see why it shouldn't just be open to everyone since you still need to pay to buy things. shrug

I can kind of understand the token thing. The token value was really low before and with some out of the system it helps a little. It would help more if they had a restock with high priced items but-shrugs- They obviously made vip tickets with csc to help fund the site and give a little something back to those who bought them. Vip tickets are a tiny bit like GA's. You get special stuff for helping the site. I don't think its wrong to offer something involving csc. The site is kind of like a human body, it needs food(csc) to survive.

Um, there are still over 500 tickets left over in the token shop and it doesn't look like they're gonna be going anywhere until the event is over. Wizard tokens are just under 1m for 1000 points. You can still get a ticket.

Try doing quests if you can't afford 1000 tokens. Sarah, Wizard and Maleria's quests are good if you don't have that much sP to start with. So are Quentin's since you can get a mage amulet, as long as you're careful not to spend too much on one quest. Shinwa's quests are a gamble, but if you can get a stat booster from her, that's bound to help you get enough for the ticket. Games are also a good way of getting sP. Caliph's Tomb nets you an easy 200k if you clear all 10 games and there's also Tubular tiles if you can't play fast-paced games.

All it takes to get enough money (or tokens) for the ticket is a bit of effort and persistence. Peka-Boo isn't the first pay-to-participate event and I sincerely doubt it's gonna be the last.
