I personally love the beta wardrobe. Everything's a lot easier to find, and coordinating colors is really simple with the "colors in this item" feature. :) I can't wait until all the bugs are fixed so I can take full advantage of it. <3

Obviously this is not how it's going to look, but I've made some really decent progress on a few things. They might seem small, but they're the foundation and groundwork of a working wardrobe!
The things that I'm working on now:
On the technical side, all of this work has resulted in a much easier to understand wardrobe on our end. Each file is separated (Avatar, ItemList, Items, Base) which means I'm able to keep everything contained and neat and tidy, and add new features pretty easily. It's already clear how much of a performance impact this will have, and I'm able to use ES6 (the next "version" of javascript) while staying backwards compatible.
I hope to have more updates over the next few days!

wait a second so this is how the new beta wardrobe will look? it kinda reminds me of how arvee was set up.
are there issues with saving the order of items this way? for instance, Keith, your skin/base is on top of all your clothes right now. is that an error with ordering the items correctly or some other mistake?
Everything on the page is entirely in a placeholder right now, layout is the final step in the process :)
The ordering of my clothes are due to testing, but not really for any reason on the new wardrobe :).

Keith, thank you for the update! It's nice to see how things are progressing! Are GA users going to be able to test it to help out at all?
I'm way too amused by the flashing boobs in the gif :P
It's probably a good idea to put a cap on that (if possible) so you don't overload people's computers/phones. Like store the most recent 5-10 pages, and get rid of anything older?

Being able to move the base features within the layers tears of joy
Yeah, absolutely. That's the beauty of working with a framework instead of doing it myself, it mostly handles all of that for me. I think that phones and chrome/firefox/newer version of IE have 1MB of internal RAM set aside for each website you have open (and it clears when you clear the tab) so that is a lot of basic item data, which is just name/gender/avatar image/item image)
And yeah the gender changing is SO FLUID it's really nice. I can't wait to get to where I can test eyes/mouths and see how quickly that changes :D

I just got a ping here but I don't see the post...?
[edit]
Wow there it is. That was weird.
I'm glad the changes are going well. :D

Oh this is looking actually pretty nice! I'm not a fan at all of the current beta wardrobe so I can't wait to see how this one is going to work.
LAYERABLE EYES AND MOUTHS?! squee Oh yes please. I am hoping for working drawers or tags (so that one item can be in multiple "drawers" so to speak), as well as a functioning search feature that searches /all/ the drawers. This looks amazing!
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
I hope its up soon, and why does my female clothes look male?
Looking great so far! n.n Thank you for letting us see what's going on!
HOw do you see all your shared outfits?
Right now? Here you go :)
