I don't really have one so-to-speak...I have a schedule for the year but I don't have "the same days off" every week like most people.

Yeah having people that are helpful and kind for you to learn is GREAT. I'm in that boat too.

Eh kinda sorta I work in the bakery at a Grocery store There's a wall where the cake decorators have three table to work at that you can't see from the display case I usually hide in the back xD

Me too until now and man, it's SO NICE not to have to deal with customers!! I mean there are a ton of employees but they are easily ignorable ((made up my own word there! :p )) if they suck.

Well first frustrating shift :/ I got left by myself (well the other cake decorator left and it was just me and a baker)

Needless to say, two orders were wrong, I got chewed out and the baker told one lady I would do a Hulk cake in 15 minutes. PSA - I can't draw -.- It was awful, but she was nice and just accepted a green themed cake

Wellllllll Yesterday was fine, no mistakes BUT today there were THREE, yes THREE, mistakes on cake orders and I was down right furious The lady ladies for two of the orders knew each other so they ganged up on us I was not a happy camper and I was pretty pissed for the rest of my shift

I'm thinking about telling my manager about it because the cake decorator who does cake orders and I looked at the two orders together, but she only did one (and did it wrong!) and I guess didn't feel like doing the other and just threw the order form away because we couldn't find it If it keeps up like this I'm going somewhere else, because I refuse to get cursed at and threatened for someone else's mistakes.

WTF is her deal? I wonder if she's threatened by you? I had that happen at a job once, the dude wasn't into competition and got me into HUGE trouble.

It's not even that she's a bitch, because she's a sweet person and she and I get along great It's just like she does the orders right for when she's there, but the ones that are going to be picked up when her shift ends she screws up on purpose to get us bitched at

I told my mom about it and she was like, that might happen where ever I work next too I just don't know :/ I really like the work and that's where I'm torn -.-

Besides, that girl is going on maternity leave soon Maybe I'll hang in there and see how this weekend goes :/

thank you, guys. Sorry I haven't been very chipper lately... But good news!!!!!! I got insurance back so I was able to get my meds refilled and therefore, should be back to normal within the next few days <3 Yay. I'll keep you guys posted~

That is true though, you may find the next place has something similar or worse. How long have you been actually there? I know it took you longer to get in because they were like screwing around making up their minds.

She's supposed to be having her baby in May, but we don't think she'll last that long She's pretty far along and plus she's always on her feet walking around at work so I'm sure the baby will come before then

It's usually just me and another girl, but we're supposed to diffuse the situation I can't really diffuse a situation in which I'm being yelled at because I get VERY mouthy when someone pushes my buttons (Retail is NOT for me xD)

I've physically been there about a month now, but I've technically had the job for 2 months. I mean, they'll be giving me more hours soon, but I have a feeling it'll be till 5 like last weekend was and if that's the case, that's when all the problem pickups are

I don't want them to think I'm copping out, but I mean, I really can't take being yelled at I get really emotional when people yell at me -.-

Oh yeah me too, it took me years and years to learn to bite my tongue and even still if they say the "right" thing I'll go off.

But still I think that if she effed up then it's her problem and NOT yours. The one who SHOULD BE "diffusing" the situation SHOULD BE the manager/supervisor. That's what they are PAID FOR!

I say do whatever you can to avoid the situation or go on and let the manager/supervisor know what she's doing.

Oh my gosh, ive been crazy busy. Last minute deadlines for financial aid and scholarships.. Yikes... Thankfully I got it all turned in though, now I just need to worry about paying for my graduation stuff and I'm all set! My plans have changed for college though since I really don't have money to move halfway across the state... But that's okay! I feel good about my plans :) and my meds seem to be helping quite a bit. <3 Also, mindi, I know EXACTLY how that is! I work at McDonald's, and half of the stuff they do there, my trainer never taught me! So I get in trouble if I don't follow the 'code' or whatever.... But it's not my fault I had literally the worst trainer there... So yeah. I get that.

I'm not sure I totally remember how that was but I'm pretty sure it was a wirlwind.

Yeah I'm fine with talking about it actually. Haven't had many people besides my grandparents ask :P I'm going for general studies right now and then after maybe 2 years I'm going to move to the college I wanted to go to and study culinary, and maybe sign language. I honestly would really love to be an interpreter.

That's cool. Yeah I'd LOVE to know sign language. And Spanish. lol Although not many people where I live now speak Spanish, there are other languages that are more predominate.

sign is pretty neat, although it's not universal. Like even American and British sign language is different. It's so weird. And Spanish would be fun :P I took French for 2 years instead of Spanish and Oh my lord. I was terrible at it...
