ok so if i expand a little; its a zombie novel. i am following the most direct route and i think i70 is a big part of it, basically i google mapped the two places and directions and thats what im following. so seriously if any of you want to hit my inbox with whatever facts or info or just how places feel, where is nice where would be useful noteworthy places along the way or places to stop off etc id love it and those of you who have even just been to the outside of the white house could help me alot actually. i dont wanna give alot of the story away but my characters are going to be going there so stuff like the size of the place, how many people would be around, what the place is like etc... i appreciate that it all sounds a bit weird but ud be surprised how hard it is to find things online, google earth has been the only useful thing so far but its 100's of mile and walking all that way on street view would take me sooooo long
Oh!
I think I can put it very simply for you: you'd have better luck setting it in Canada because there are certainly no brains in Washington DC. XD

hahahaha XD none the less canada doesnt have what i need, its taken alot of planning to get to the point im at
Oh, hmm... as I said, I can't help too much, I've only been outside the White House, I've never taken the tours.

well even that is something :) i could do with knowing what the possibilities of there being like a big vehicle entrance are too
There is that.

well that is convenient, im guessing it is a big building, and that its possible that it houses something that nobody knows about?
Possibly.

thanks :) like i said i know it sounds strange
No, not really. XDD I wish I could say more.

lol Well, I can say this for I70 in Kansas, boring. Even more boring when you have to walk it. Though I should point out, when you get to the eastern part of KS, it's not flat as a pancake. You actually have hills. Plus you get to go by Fort Riley. :) From what I remember you don't even really hit big towns until Topeka. Then you get to the major metro area. I do know a bit of the Kansas City area. A couple of the suburbs on the KS side and Independence on the MO side.
Basically, when you follow I70 the only times you'd really get into cities is the major ones. omg I never want to drive through KC or St. Louis again! I've driven twice from mid Missouri all the way to West Virginia, that's a 13 hour only stopping for gas and pee breaks trip. I can't even image walking it. :o

thankyou so much, this is exactly the kind of info that is really useful to me im noting it all down right now. since its nearer the end of the journey im not writing it just yet but im storing all the info. i hope nobody minded the friends requests, it would just be really great to be able to contact you guys again when the time comes.
Also just incase you wanted to have a read
Since I70 doesn't run though Delaware, I'm not sure how much help I'm going to be. But I know some landmarks in Baltimore and DC. There's the Inner Harbor which has aquarium and a bunch of other tourist places, like Camden Yards. Here's is the website for the: Inner Harbor
DC has a TON of museums. There's the American History and the World History museums, as well as the Air and Space Museum. The Mall has all the monuments like the George Washington, Abe Lincoln, WWII, Vietnam War.
