Those are really...normal names? I feel like people are way to uptight about names. My name is Jessica, and it's not that great having such a common name. It seems like if you don't name your child a typical English/Bible name people think you and your child are odd.
If they look anything like my fiance then they will be adorable ♥ My dad hates my niece's name, but he got over it after she was born so hopefully it'll be the same when I have kids. I thought they were normal names too :/ apparently Sophie isn't? Someone said just name her Sophia... no, I don't see the big deal it's just one less syllable, and people usually use Sophie as short for Sophia anyways. I don't even look at the list of popular baby names, I don't want to name my child something just because millions of other people think it's a good name :/ If the names I picked are common, I don't care, at least I picked it because I like it.

My mom actually wanted to name me Sophie when I was born because there was some popular actress with that name at the time. I think it's a really nice name. I haven't heard it very often on people I know in person, but I still feel like it's a fairly well-known, normal name. It's funny that they think Sophia is better for some reason.
I'm not fond of Damien but that's mostly for personal reasons. A friend's 16 year old daughter got pregnant and named her baby that before deciding it was too much work to raise a baby. The friend is raising the baby now and they call him Day-day.
I suppose if you're okay with the possible nicknames they might get called (like Day-day) then feel free to name them whatever makes you happy!
The husband and I were never able to have kids, sadly. If we had, I wanted William Joseph and Madeline Christine for kids names. Ah well, such is the way of things.
those names are really normal and nice...like everyone else said, i'm not sure what about them warrants a response of "that's terrible". I think it's pretty rude of someone to say that whatever the name you picked, but it's more understandable if it was something really out there. Personally I really like Evelyn, especially shortened to Evie, and i have an aunt named that too haha
Tell your aunt to go shove a stick up her butt. My boyfriend's son's name is Damien :) But those names are $!&%@ adorable. Personally I like Evelyn Christine together!
"I BETTER FREAKING GET MY GIRL LOL" OMFG THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I FEEL. We've already picked out a girl name. Lydia Quinn. Need.
thanks :3 I've thought about Evelyn Christine, a few other people prefer that too, but I really want to use Shirley as a middle name and I don't like the way Sophie Shirley sounds :/

Yea, Sophie Shirley sounds a bit silly. If you have two girls, you could use both though! Just name all of them Shirley :p
I'm hoping for 2 girls and a boy, but you get what you get lol. I might even have twins because apparently it runs in my family :O

Sophie Christine, Evelyn Shirley, and Damien James are absolutely adorable names! You have great taste and these names are nowhere near "terrible." You are doing the right thing by ignoring these blatantly rude remarks. Your children should be named whatever you feel :)
