Even released revamps that people didn't like. :) This has been the case since people first decided they didn't like change (a billion years ago) and will continue to be the case.

We work for the majority, and continue to push out revamps that we feel fit the general look and feel of the site more. Revamps are also a great way for us to revisit things we'd released years ago (clothing especially) that we've learned a lot of new tricks even in the last year that help us a lot there.

We are very aware that every time we push something out that users are wearing / have adopted / have gotten used to giving them quests there is going to be pushback. We're pretty confident in ourselves usually, though!

I’ve already posted this before but I’ll say it again — We do listen to the feedback for revamps. I’ve talked with the artist about changing the Luxe Belt to fit the old style more, but possibly keeping the new art as a new line of items (which was suggested by a user because some people do really like the revamp). She's actually already finished the overlay and is working on the item art. :)

"Asking the community" sounds like a delightful idea in theory, but in practise it really does end up rather a mess. You have hundreds of contradicting opinions all fighting with each other to be heard, and then you have to remember there are hundreds more people who are fine with things the way they are but don't speak up to SAY that because, well, they're fine with things the way they are.

We have to make decisions as staff members to put out what we think is the best thing to put out. Obviously sometimes there are going to be things that get through that are disagreed with, and we have changed things in the past when we recognise that we have disappointed a large amount of people (and it's something we do feel could be altered again - sometimes we know we're going to disappoint a lot of people but we have to update some very nostalgically loved art in order to move the site forward) - but we cannot and will not further edit every thing that is released because there are some users that have voiced disapproval. We cannot put each piece of art to a vote - as someone else stated here, absolutely nothing would ever get done!

There are a few things listed in the first post, but those are such a small selection in the hundreds of pieces of art that have been updated in the last few months. And even if we don't alter an item this time, we take it into account what you don't like so we can avoid disappointment on future revamps.
