Mostly because we haven't found a way to illustrate that items are transforming after we've released them. When you see the original news post - that's great, you've got the right information.

But if you joined after that, went into the CS (or wherever) and only saw a minion, you'd think that was it and you wouldn't bother to look it up. It's just much easier for us to release all of the items separately.
