I always have had vivid dreams but when I was on Lexapro they got worse, and most of the time were scarier..It was terrible I auit taki g medication alltogether but I've been a wreck so I think I should just deal and go get meds.
There are lots of people who insist that dreams are a way of deal with, or pointing out, events in your current life that you might not notice while awake. Decrypting what those events might mean is quite hard, but perhaps paying closer attention might help.
Speaking of weird dreams. I've recently had one where, after a while in the dream, I came across two women who looked dead on at me and said "We're hear to stop you from making a big mistake." Which was, and still is, a very scary thing because of the things I'm going through right now. Haha. ):

Yeah I haven't even noticed my dreams lately which is very, very weird for me. Usually I remember the gist of my dream when I wake up.And as for your dream yikes! I'd be frightened!
The scariest dream I ever had I was at a summer camp having fun and it ended up where everyone around me was disappearing. And I found one of the missing kids and they were dead! And I was freaking out trying to find help and instead I found Jason Voorhees! So I was running for my life and I ran away and tried to hide. I went into this room and shut the door and sat down against it trying to muffle my breathing. And finally I looked around me and say I was in the boiler room, "Freddy Krueger's boiler room. And I heard this creepy laughter and I woke myself up hyperventilating..
i have been having nightmares like everynight.
Hahahaha! xD That was entertaining to read! xD Did you woke up giggling? I would have. xD Well, maybe confused at first, then laughing xD
I just actually had a dream yesterday that I raised my hand to asked the professor (college) if I can go to the bathroom (first semester next week) and everyone stared and laughed at me. My friend who's going to the college I will be attending, told me you just walk up and leave if you have to go. :P
I had a dream once where I was a twelve-year old boy,.. I never saw 'my' face, but I knew I was a younger boy! The dreams that I remember tend to be recurring in place or theme, if not progressive replays of the same scenario. And I have some weird dreamscapes! They are futuristic and sci-fi sometimes but they never make sense. There's a Berenstain bear book where the siblings have nightmares and, in one, they are stuck in a real-life beanbag toss of DOOM, wherein falling through the holes (and implementing monsters from movies, of course) means certain death (see what I mean?) Anyway, my dream was similar except they were squares, not holes, and I avoided baddies at random corners. Eventually, I came up to a police officer and after I pleaded for help, he asked me, "Do you want to go get donuts?" I remember being aghast that he was so worried about getting donuts, this police officer! He kept repeating himself in the dream, too. Do you want to get donuts? Do you want to get donuts? Finally I woke up from my dream to realize it was my father, not a cop, asking me if I wanted to go with him on a donut run for breakfast. Haha. Dreams are sooo weird! :)

Lego world. I was walking around in a lego world... but it was hard to walk through because it felt like quicksand. I struggled to get through the lego area to get to this building-ish shelter structure, upon where I found an elevator--a golden elevator, upon which I was supposed to go up, but which was also broken.. So I turned around and walked all the way back to the shore of the lego quicksand, and then there were lots of dogs and some people were practicing for the musical Grease on my left. da fuqq
Also this was just last night idk mayne
I typically have three types of dreams : Weird , scary , or sad. I always hope for weird dreams because other wise I wake up in tears or freaking out. One of my latest weird/sad/scary dreams was I was a tiny genderless bunny having a merry old time , until I got lost from my bunny mom and dad. I was sad and lost until I saw a guy walking so I follow him. We both get into a car , which we very get into a really bad car crash(which I see one of my favorite celebrities die). Then little bunny me is suddenly turning into a person but I'm even more lost than I was before.I don't really remember the rest but I woke up very very sad.....
I didn't use to remember any of my dreams, but as the same as you I started on this medicine I've been having all types of weird dreams. But last night was the weirdest of all, I couldn't sleep more than 30 to 40 minutes because then I would wake up from a super bizarre nightmare. I had like 5 to 6 nightmares, including one that I fought I woke up but I didn't, it was the scariest thing of all.
And all my "dreams" are nightmares. Not even a good thing.
I don't really like dreaming, I miss my old dreamless nights. I used to sleep. :c
: I'm on Lexapro, maybe it's related?
Well the medicine makes me forget my dreams because of my night terrors. But if I take a nap or forget it, the weird dreams start. You should talk to your doctor about maybe trying an alternative/similar drug to Lexapro, especially if you cannot sleep.

So last night I had an odd, yet strangely awesome dream. I dreamed that I met my online friend in real life, and were eating at a table that was pushed way back into the corner. I was sitting crammed in the corner with my back to the wall. As we talked, I realized how dangerous the position I was in could be: If my friend (whom I don't know terribly well) turned out to be creepy, he'd have me pretty much pinned to the wall.
Suddenly, a man, whom I presumed was his roommate, walked in and sat down next to my friend. After a while, he started getting fresh with me and tried to touch me. I jumped up and yelled at him, and my friend shot up and punched him right in the face! As they were grappling on the floor, I jumped over them and ran away.
While the random stranger trying to assault me was scary, it made me feel good that I dreamed that my online buddy would stand up for me and quite literally fight for my safety. The fact that the attacker was his roommate (and a person with whom I imagine my friend had a rather good relationship) makes it an even stronger display of friendship toward me. He was willing to risk losing the relationship with his roomie to keep mine (and to do the right thing!)
I woke up quite happy with this one. It was the most realistic and cohesive dream I've had in a long time.
I always have strange dreams too! Just wondering, have anyone dreamt of flying? I've flew in my dream for at least five times. And I sometimes in my dreams I'm not me anymore, I had turned into harry potter once, Hermione once, and the bubbles in powerpuff girls when I was around six or seven. Strange enough! Haha
- I have had a few flying dreams. I have also had dreams where I am not myself--here's one:
I had a dream recently where I was a ~45 year old man. He was a respected scientist with a long publication history and had made a difference in his field. The dream began in what appeared to be a conference room, complete with industrial carpet and meaningless paintings on the walls. In the center of the room was a large, circular table with at least a dozen men sitting around it, many of them with gray or white hair. Amongst them was the very tired and gray astronaut Pete Conrad, who had mysteriously disappeared decades ago, and had been declared dead by the US government. All were scientists of one stripe or another and had been abducted, as I had, by some unknowable, powerful force. We were all being held in an eternal conference until we could come to a unanimous decision on how best to create peace for all of Earth's people. Then, and only then, would we be released.
Our jailor was nefarious, however. The conference had started as just three scientists, but a new one was abducted every year or two to break up the consensus. I was this newcomer, and, not fully grasping the gravity of the situation, began to argue with the plan that the other scientists had laid out. This brought dissent from a few others, who had only begrudgingly agreed with the others in order to win their freedom. Some of the oldest detainees, like Pete Conrad, remained silent through the argument. Their only comment was their expressions of overwhelming weariness. After several months of continual debate, I realized what I had done. We were all trapped here through our own strong-headedness, and as soon as we approached an accord, another scientist was abducted and brought to the table.
I realized then, with the arrival of this newcomer, that whatever unknown force was imprisoning us had no intention of ever releasing us. What purpose this eternal debate served was unknown to me, but I had no desire to remained here, trapped, until I was mercifully permitted to die. In a fit of desperation, I asked one of the younger men to strangle me. He was nervous at first, and refused. Eventually, I bullied him into it, but his grip was too weak. His delicate, girly hands had no strength, and were limp against my neck. As I lay on the floor, I had to rasp "harder!" at him over and over, until he finally pressed his knee into my throat, and the world turned painfully red and then faded away to black.
When I awoke, I was still in the conference room, only now it was empty. I stood, and saw that a hallway had appeared, leading straight out onto a bustling, sunlit alley. Men and women walked passed the open entrance, but no one so much as stopped to look at it. Groggily, I walked out into the bright sunlight, and stood outside the doorway, which had vanished behind me. One of the scientists was walking down the alley and took me by the shoulder, steering me away from the brick wall through which I had gained my freedom. The others had gone, spread out through this city, wherever city we happened to be in. We were free now, with as little warning as when we were taken captive. Although I had many questions, I did not ask them. We simply walked away and tried to forget.
woooah ok so I've had some freaky symbolic dreams at times that were like, very clearly me working through stuff in my life but the way they manifested was so cool
my fav one to talk about right now is the one where i was living in this apartment building w/ my grandma or my mom or someone? (my dreams are usually pretty vague) i saw this storm coming in and the clouds were turning black and then some tornadoes picked up and were ripping planes out of the sky etc v scary
we went to run into the building but the elevator wouldn't work and we had to take the stairs, and since we lived on the 8th or 9th floor we had never really done it. it was one of those buildings where the stairs stop halfway up and pick up at a different location on the same floor. we went down the hallway trying to find the stairs but all we saw were doors to dorm rooms.
we went up and down a couple of times and then saw a guy, probably around my age and wearing a suit, at a desk at the end of the hallway. I tried to ask him for help but he asked me a question, something I couldn't remember, with a "riddle me this" before handing me a cigarette. i was confused so i didnt say anything, and he told me he had promised me a smoke when i got his riddle right. i looked outside and saw planes on fire coming out of the sky and everything just being destroyed and I had this horrible realization so i just asked the guy like basically 'am i dead,' it was something more specific about being on fire but i can't remember how i worded it. like, am i here, is my body on fire somewhere right now
then he laughed at me and said "technically, you're always on fire" and then he lit his cigarette and I felt myself die and then I woke up
now the reason that's specifically creepy to me is twofold (in addition to dying in a dream which has only happened to me a few other times)
1- because what he said can generally be interpreted as accurate if you understand how the process of oxidation works (i have a friend who prefers to think of themselves as rusting rather than burning slowly, but either analogy is right - ultimately, we die because we breathe ourselves to death. what you need kills you.)
2- because the only other time i've ever actually had a conversation about that with anyone was like four years ago with an ex boyfriend who declared one night while I was trying to fall asleep that, technically we're on fire right now, and then refused to explain it in any other words while i laughed myself to sleep. haven't mentioned it or thought about it since
last night i had a dream that me and my mom found a fossilized poo in my mattress and submitted it to a museum
On the topic of dreams, I have nightmares all the time. They used to scare me so much that I'd come crying to my parents' door for no apparent reason. (I'm still embarrassed about that. I was like twelve! That's far too old.)
My 'worst' nightmare had the Grinch in it. He came to my house 'disguised' and fooled my mom, then he took me to a walled in place where he was cooking people. A little toy helicopter with little plastic army guys pulled me up over the wall. I ran home and my family was sitting on the couch - then Grinch heads pop out of their heads like it was just a portrait of them or something.
... :l
I once had a dream I was falling, and I woke up one the floor.
I had a dream that I was trying to chase the gingerbread man in heaps of snow then i fell off a clif. I also had a dream that an alien was in my room surrounding itself with movie film. Also I had a dream that everyone was jars of peanut butter rolling around and i had to catch everyone.

🌔 My Tumblr 🌔
I always have random dreams. I usually don't remember much about them, but I know the people I know act like they do in real life. My mom is a jerk and ruins everything. My sister is nosy. My stepfather is annoying. My boyfriend is caring. My friends are fun.
I sometimes have dreams of random people I don't know, people from my past, or characters from video games or cartoons. Other times, I'm a fan character I created almost 10 years ago. Another reoccurring thing is the threat of tornadoes. I don't know why, but tornadoes seems to be my nightmare.
The only thing I remember about last night's dream is it involved my house and ponies from Friendship is Magic.
Sometimes I have these scary dreams, which involve my mother tracking me down and trying to kill me. Usually I'll wake up from those crying.
So I'm not the only one? I don't cry from them but it's a really WHOA experience. In my dream, I am in my basement and I know she is upstairs. Let's say I think about her or do something wrong, I hear her yell my name in a demonic voice and I escape through out basement window. C: (Sometimes I would go even as far as becoming 2D against the floor, LOL)
I have many many intense dreams. I don't have nightmares anymore since I started to lucid dream. You should look into the meanings of your dream as they can reflect your life, emotions and thoughts; some hidden in your subconscious and others you may recognize. For example, I had a dream long time ago that the devil married my mother .. well, 2 years ago she died from small cell lung cancer. Cancer is known as the devil to some.
