Maybe have a random trivia question for people? I&;m not saying that everyone should have a different question, but different enough so that people won&;t likely share answers? I don&;t think some people will mind if it&;s not even a weekly thing, but the trivia was actually pretty fun...even with the calculus questions.

I quite like this idea.

It was removed due to people cheating, therefore, nope.

I miss Trivia so much but it looks like the staff had pretty good reasons for getting rid of it. To be honest though they&;ve brought out some cool new games so I think we should focus on those instead.

I like riddles and word puzzles ,and absolutely zero of the new games are interesting to me.

The fact we have Net Gain and Stealth Bomber doesn't change a thing about the fact I miss trivia, tyvm

- I was just trying to add a little bit of positivity to the thread as it seems very unlikely that the Trivia will be coming back.

There is nothing, with the exception of Item Scramble (Which isn't new) that goes anywhere near what trivia brought. Yeah, the new games are awesome, but they are not filling trivia's niche, so I really don't see the positive in what you said. I still don't play Net Gain or the bug-splatting game because I suddenly have more time that is not used into searching trivia answers.

We want to counteract cheating? There are ways to solve it.

First of all, harder questions means that less people are going to enable cheaters. The less people know the answer, the less likely people can just go and ask people what the answer is.

Second, I still think the price money should be a SP pot, rather than a static amount of SP, meaning that people would benefit from not giving the answer.

An alternative, because oh man, I actually really like czar's idea, would be to go cruise-style every month or so, and have a couple random questions (2-3) out of a pot of 10 randomly asked on a page. If you get all of them right ON THE FIRST SHOT, you get part of the SP pot + an item.

If you get them right on the second shot, you get the item. If you don't, too bad.

Perhaps there could be a user-run unofficial weekly trivia?

I will love you forever if you trade me:

Generally saying, I love this spirit; while people know Trivia got taken down for a great reason, they're still up to trying to find solutions for that so maybe one day it can come back on a new format. Having a great reason for the shutdown doesn't instantly equal "nope never again", because looking for solutions and fighting for what you want is never a bad thing c:

Since staff said there is a chance it could be revisited eventually, I like 's idea of having a few questions up at a time, randomly assigned (the question would be picked from a mini pool on the first time the user clicks the Trivia link, it wouldn't be the type that changes with refreshes) and Neopets' concept of sharing the prize pool among winners was a pretty neat disincentive for cheating. Sure, there were still cheats, but not as abundant...

Also, this is a stretch but maybe Trivia could be turned into a sort of interactive mini-quest that resets every once-in-a-short-bit? For example, if it asked you something that could be found in the Subetapedia, it could check if you indeed visited the Subetapedia page or something like that. Or maybe every couple weeks, a random NPC could pose you a (small) problem that would require riddle-solving but also including some (few) key steps, thus making it hard to share the answer with just a word and a click. I guess it'd make it more like a riddle competition (that also makes you go around and learn more about the world of Subeta)? English is not my first language, yet I know stuff like that would incentivize me to at least try c: (In this case, the Trivia would have to be the same for everyone, but the prize pool could still be shared among winners)

I really love the idea of things being account-tied if Trivia is brought back in some form!

It would be the same principle as how returning Esther's eggs only works if you find them yourself.

I'd love to see trivia come back. I had only just started getting in to it when it got discontinued.
