Not forgotten about, just a system that needs some major attention unfortunately :(

It's in the pipeline. Unlike forums / wardrobe / etc, it's a system that touches pretty much every page of the site. If I change the way that it's calculated (for +1 achievements and such) it'd have to be changed on every one of those pages.

Right now the major issue is that it wasn't really anticipated to handle the amount of data points that it currently does. I'm not sure if it's obvious from the outside but the achievement system is actually one of our major tracking infrastructures because it keeps track of your progress toward them, so it's keeping track of a lot of things (and things for users who are no longer active / not actually working toward achievements) that are checked on every page.

Essentially right now it's a problem of too much data and the system wasn't built to handle that.

Y'all better watch out because I'm going to bombard you when they're fixed ;)
