I think the most frustrating thing (whether it be the book or in a movie form) is that it's giving people who aren't educated about the BDSM community all the WRONG information. A healthy BDSM relationship is nothing like that. :|

Why is anything made into a movie?

It's popular, it's going to make money. I know I'm probably going to be dragged into seeing it by my mom or a friend, so I hope at least they pick an attractive guy to play the lead. I don't mind turning my brain off for a crappy movie if there's eye candy.

50 Shades of YES. Guilty pleasure of mine. Haven't read more than 2 chapters, but it's fucking awesome.

I have tried to read this book to see what the hype was all about and only got half way through the book as I was pretty much disgusted. I'm not into porn let alone reading it. But Hollywood will take anything that people are obsessing over and turn it into a movie if they can make money off it.
