I think it's a combination of hormones and exhibitionist tendencies. I don't mind seeing a small bit of PDA here and there, but when people start having clothed sex, I find it pretty fucking irritating.

It seems to be more prevalent amongst teens; I see very few people in their 20's doing it, and I don't think I've ever seen people in their 30's or 40's do things like that (which is a good thing, since I'd probably want to gouge my eyes out if I did)...

So, yeah, I'd say hormones have a lot to do with it.

i definitely agree with you talyn. it's mostly the adolescent stage doing so, but it just makes me uncomfortable seeing that.

ugh, i cannot stand pda. i think it's rude and obnoxious. i have one friend who's really bad. i was at her house watching a movie, and she decided to invite her boyfriend over as well. i spent a good hour with my eyes glued to the screen, pretending not to notice that she was getting him off under a blanket. she's famous for pulling shit like that. so rude :@!

Heehee, I don't see much kissing going on in my school. Couples in school sometimes peck each other on the cheek, but it's rarely proper kissing. Usually they just hold hands or have a loving embrace. But once...when I was in my locker taking out my maths book, and I turned to my bag to get out my english stuff, and I heard my locker door bang shut. I turned and said,"Hey, what're yo-" Some guy had pushed another guy up against my locker and was staring into his eyes, and the guy who was pushed up looked really red in the face. xD They were just about to kiss, then I coughed. They noticed me and tried to act as if nothing happened. o_o So I tried to act as if nothing happened too and just put my english stuff away and then walked off. :D

As for the PDA thing, I don't really care. As long as they're not seriously about to have sex, (i.e. on top of each other, starting to take clothes off, etc.) I usually just ignore it and walk away.

I don't care about a smooch on the cheek or a hug before class or holding hands down the hallway but when I start to see tongue and groping, that's where I draw the line.

I actually don't give two shits about people making out/whatever in public. I do it with my man quite often. And, like someone else already said, when it's me and him it's just me and him. Don't care what anyone else thinks. Why should I? :P

There's a rule at my school that says you're not allowed to touch people at all, which is sorta stupid. Girls can get away with hugging/holding hands with other girls, but when me and my bf hold hands we get called to the office and get put in detintion, sometimes we don't even realize that we're holding hands, but eh. Sorry for the minirant there, but yeah, PDA to a certain extent is fine, just don't totally flat out do it, even if you have clothes on, god have some self respect.

they don't want to discriminate against the gay couples for fear of being ''homophobes''. it's stupid. they need to get over it and treat them just like everyone else.
