I always think of that scene in Rat Race, where the guy's saying his wife's giving birth and needs the bus driver's clothes... and then he says VAGINA all mortified and hoarse and ever since then it's kind of been a weird word.

So I say penis sounds more girly. That scene I was talking about. I mean really. Once you hear it like that then it's definitely not girly.

Vagina sounds girly to me. And I don't mean girly as in flowers and ponies and crap like that. When I pretend to think of it as if I don't know what it means, it sounds like a name for a woman. Penis sounds like a clothes brand for guys.

Neither of them initially sound girly to me (especially vagina, it sounds hard and.. mean D: ) but I guess vagina because it ends with an A. lol.

Vagina has harder sounds, even if it ends in -a, which is typically a feminine ending. Penis has a softer sound, so my vote goes to penis. (No puns intended :x)

Speaking about genitalia/reproductive organs in general, females do have more feminine sounding names (other than vagina). Labia, clitoris, ovary, cervix... all sound feminine to me... as opposed to scrotum, testicles, which sound more masculine. (I can't think of any other male parts, at least not their proper names ^^; )

It is hard to break away from the meanings and just focus on how they sound though.

Personally I think Penis is. Although some will say vagina simply for the fact that women have them,. and woman is the first word they associate with it because of that.

The only way to settle this for sure is to ask people who don't speak English. Then they won't be influenced by the meanings.

It has the extra syllable that doesn't quite round off the word. And it sounds like Virginia which is a girl's name.

vagina. definitely vagina because usually words ending with the sound "ah" sound more girly.

Penis sounds more girly. I's 'softer' sounding all around.
