What items have you found that no matter how much you try or how long you spend searching through all the clothes in the HQ generator, you simply can't color match them to perfection?

I was playing around in the generator trying to challenge myself to match the groom's cravat perfectly (i've always had trouble layering to create shades of subtle colors), and i finally succeeded in establishing a match. So i thought to myself, i wonder what other people have trouble with?

ah, yikes- i can see where it could be troublesome. not only is it a rare salmon-y orange color, but it also has a slightly brown tinge. Thank you for sharing- now i have a new item to challenge me in my spare time ;) haha.

I didn't think they'd be difficult, but they areee. I gave up on matching anything and just tried to go for some sort of real-world high fashion HA thing. X3

oh gosh- you're using one of my favorite plain t-shirt tops. i love that shirt so much. ❤ it's just drawn so well. and i can see where you're coming from with the pants! at first glance, they seem fairly easy to match with the red. i think the challenge for me would be re-creating the pattern somewhere else on the avatar. i tried coming up with three matches for the red- i only did the neck layer, cause thats where you had the other bit of red on your avatar. i'll have to put the pattern matching away for a rainy day. ;)

I absolutely love the way the necklace looks layered under the shirt. haha.

I know, i fell in love with the shirt the minute it came out! I love the way it lays on the hips of the avatar.

I did try that aviator scarf, but i'm not sure the red is exactly right? The necklace UNDERR? o: goes to try it

I just loveeeee the color fo that copper skirt, and the way it sits on a HA is so pretty, but I've never got to use it :( subeta really should release stuff to match that color xD.

the verdure wig is really hard to match! well i pulled it off. but not with perfect color :(

Silverpaws - i actually like how you used these pants.

Cute dress, but hard to match. Love this vest, but this is the only item I know that makes green and purple look very good together. When I try using green/purple items together when using this item, everything makes me puke. Dx Other than the ML Anti set, I dunno what else to match with this color-wise.

I have never been able to match this item. Never. But it seems like it should be so easy D:

I saw the avatar you made with it- you did a really nice job working with it, managing to make the wig look masculine. :)

yikes- i can sympathize! i tried making an avatar around that item, but i just couldn't make it work, since the green is neon and the purple is two shades- one is like a plum color and the other is bright purple. not to mention the blues! that item is just one touch cookie to work with. I'm always impressed when someone manages to make it look good.

I love the top from that set, so i've figured out matches to work on the legs/lower feet, but i haven't tried working with the pants too much. It would probably be a lot harder since we don't have a lot of transparent shirts- maybe with the new halters it would make the task less daunting.

Its kind of an awkward item to begin with, which doesn't make figuring out how to use it any easier. And i see what you're saying- the green is a weird shade. I haven't seen many items in that exact shade of dark green.

Karrie, The lunar slippers give me a lot of trouble as well- i tried making an avatar with them, and i couldn't figure out a layer order with tops that matched the same purple-gray-blue color. A challenge for sure!

orange and yellow :C it's not really that hard to match, it's the lack of different shades/items

i bought them during the event because i thought they were pretty awesome, but they are a total pain in the ass when it comes to matching

Hm. Any item that goes well with it is either: A) too expensive. B) To bright of a purple.

I've made an avatar with those belts before- i love the color. Some items that i know of that match are the Broken Heart Amulet (280k) and Succubus Slippers (500k), neither of which are budget-breakingly expensive. :)

So I gave up trying and just wore it for bath time! XD

snaps. i just tried playing around with it in the generator, and there's not a lot of items that even come close. the only sort of passable match i found was the maleria dress, and its not the easiest item to work with, and its outdated. So i'll definitely have to agree with you on the difficulty. Although, even if its hard to match, its still a darn fine wearable ;)

I haven't really tried matching any of those items before, personally. It's way beyond my abilities to make hectic backgrounds look good, and i can't work with backpacks, so you're already ahead of me XD

This, i can relate to! a lot of the items that i deemed unmatchable a few months back now have matches thanks to wearables that have come out, or revamps of older ones. Like how an artist noticed that there weren't a lot of wearables in the same shade of purple as the poofy blouse, so they drew the fingerless gloves in a matching shade! I love the feeling of satisfaction when i finally manage to put a good match together. Good luck with the koala! :)
