I try to be polite, but sometimes I forget, and always end up feeling guilty for ages because I forgot to say thank you.
Your collegue is rude, she souldn't be taking advantage of your kindness either. :(
Please; I do not say. I almost never ask for things, so I can't really use it.
Thank you; I do say. When people hold doors open for me, I will say it. When people say that I look nice or that my drawings are nice, I'll say it sheepishly because I have a hard time replying to praise. xD;
You're welcome; I do say. People borrow things from me all the time.
Sorry; I do say. This, I say a little too often. ;w; When people bump into me, or push me when they want me to walk faster, I will apologize even if they're stating so in a rude manner. When accidents happen, I say sorry.
Actions; I hold doors open for people, I help people pick up things when they drop them, when someone is being bullied I will step in, every now and then I greet my teachers (unless I know that it looks like they're going off to do something important), and I like to help others.
ALTHOUGH ...; I also have my moments where I ignore people because of stupid questions, or ignore them simply because I don't feel like talking. I should probably mention the words, "Sorry .. can we talk later? I don't really feel like it right now." so that I don't come off as rude. But I usually just don't want to talk at all, and mentioning those words would probably worsen my mood. So I don't.
When people don't say 'sorry' for bumping into me or pushing me over, I find it quite rude, and it worsens my mood. When I lend things out to people and they don't say 'thank you', it also makes me think of them as rude and worsens my mood.
I like manners.
i am so polite to adults. like, all the teachers and parents love me.
I am always polite. If I leave my desk at work and there's a drink left for me when I go back I then go out of my way to seek out the person to thank them. I also thank cashpoints, toasters, taps etc. I just can't help myself.
Yep. Mommy taught me to always say "please" and "thank you", and to be polite in general (though I don't normally extend such things to everyone, at least not online...people aren't REAL if they're online =p).
I also tend to apologize for anything I do or say that MIGHT cause offense, even if it's just because of the way I phrased something (I'm pretty awkward sometimes, so occasionally, things come out in ways they weren't meant to).
i was raised in a family that believes in good manners and showing respect to others...a simple please or thank you costs nothing, so it irks me if people can't be bothered for whatever reason to show good manners themselves...
