Oh, I'm am so sorry that I am going against the grain. How terrible of me to have a differing opinion when you're near failing a class and still getting rewarded for it. So what if you're not falling behind (at least not yet)? Algebra is incredibly easy and if you have issues with that, you're going to have it a lot worse in Geometry, Algebra 2, and so on.

, you are being pretty hypocritical. The way you're talking seems like you're trying to make yourself pretty big.

- I don't care if you have a different opinion? It's just idiotic of you to try and act like I'm this little stupid 11-year-old that has no clue what she's talking about. Like I said before, Algebra isn't easy for everyone, even if it is easy for you.

do you even know that the word hypocrite means..? i'm not trying to make myself look big :| i'm just saying that emilee is telling people to stop whining about boards when she's doing the same thing herself so that's really stupid.

Okay, if you didn't care, then you wouldn't be replying. :| You probably do know what you're talking about since, well, it's about you. However, it seems like you just don't care and are only interested in instant gratification. Algebra is the basis of the rest of high-school math.

Oh, you're threatening to quit? Is that supposed to make the rest of us quiver in fear? You also pretty much implied Emilee and I were little kids who can only act smart.

I said I didn't care if you had a different opinion. I'm replying because I have nothing else to do.

I do care about my grades, it's just that I'm also happy I actually passed the class. Sure, a D- is a bad grade, I'm aware of this. But I didn't get an F so I'm glad since I'm really confused with Algebra.

Then what I hope you're going to do is ask a good student in your class to tutor you and your friend in math so you're not even more lost when you take it again next year and in the next math classes. Enjoy your trip.

way to go i guess? :P that's a lot better than i was doing in 8th grade. it took me 2 years + summer school to pass algebra. now i'm in geometry and have gone through the whole year with straight A's.

i could take the class forever :( hopefully thats easier for you! lots of shapes and stuff.

Here, they'll let you go on to the next grade with that.

I had an 'F' in Geometry, as did most of the class, and now my schedule is messed up for the next two years because some lady couldn't teach worth a damn.

Honestly, if you're only in 8th grade at the moment taking that class, I don't think it's all that bad. That is a really low grade, but from my knowledge, no one when I went to high school didn't have Algebra I their first year. In a way, you'll be ahead of the game and more prepared when you do start into that class in high school then. You're just going to have to make sure you take advantage of that familiarity when the time comes.

Math hasn't ever been my thing. I struggled all during high school with it even after spending hours trying to figure it out. I had a couple really good friends in my classes though that it just came to incredibly easy that helped me through all 4 years. xD; For some reason, I can punch out essays and speeches like there's no tomorrow, but when it comes to math, I die a little inside. x.x

hey, don't scapegoat your teacher for you bad grade. are there other students passing that class? if yes, then the teacher is doing her job. it is nobody's fault but your own for your F.

...Erm, I'm smarter than you, at least to my knowledge? Speaking on the idea that I'm done with highschool, I mean. Kidding, kidding. That one was a joke. I'm hypocritical, yes. Oh well. C'est la vie {such is life}. I was calling you a whiny kid because a lot of people seem to have a problem with 'fighting' on Subeta, when it's merely two people flinging back opposing ideas. Justin just wants Spring to realize that nearly-failing a class, but being nonchalant about it, is NOT a good attitude to hold. Spring wants Justin to see that it's not that big of a deal because of the reasons she's stated, and she's just glad she gets to go on a trip with her class. Opposing ideas. No-one has threatened to beat another into the ground. Thus, I see no fighting and no real problem. People overreact to 'mean words' and 'brash attitudes' online WAY too much. Chill pills!

Justin's right about Algebra being the basis of highschool math. Next year will hopefully be easier and you'll have a better teacher, though, Spring. Your GPA is still pretty high, but that D is going to put a dent in it. Do your GPAs 'restart' in highschool, as ours did? If so, try your best in the next class and be sure to ask for any extra help! If you're planning on taking computer courses, physics, or anything like that, you'll definitely need math. It's even present in music! So almost regardless of what you take, you'll need it. I hope you do better next year!

If only three people are passing a class, who's fault is it? I can't speak for everyone else, but I studied and still didn't understand it, even went to tutoring to no avail.

Luckily, now, I'm in a class that makes sense.

I wish that our school had restrictions as to who can go on our Quebec City (we're in Ontario, it's four days three nights) trip and who cannot. They're basically letting anyone who has the money go, which is practically everyone. There are a lot of people who are doing really bad, like a 40% average who get to go anyways, and I don't really think they deserve to. There's this one guy who can't go though because he's a real perv. :( He is blind in one eye so a lot of people are using that as a crutch for him but he constantly goes around chasing girls that have their hair in a ponytail and blows on them while saying he's going to cut them off. Needless to say, there aren't many girls who put their hair up anymore.

Algebra is so-so for me, I was really close to getting a B+ though, but managed to get an A- in the end. D:

Uh, then obviously it isn't the teacher. Unless the teacher is your source of knowledge when you study and get tutored, then it's not his or her fault.

That's true, even though I went to her for tutoring because there was no other teacher, sadly enough. They're supposed to make sure we understand, right?
