I turn on all the lights..not because i'm scared of the dark i just dont want to trip over on the vacuum cleaner or something wet that squeaks(dog toys :)).

normally when i get up in the middle of the night, its to use the bathroom and since i JUST woke up, my eyes wont even be open. i know my way around the house so well i dont need to open my eyes, let alone put the lights on

steals popcorn When it's on my floor, I walk around in the dark. But when it's on the ground floor, I definitely put on the lights. You never know what the dogs may leave lying around...

i need to turn the lights on. if i dont, ill just run into everything. i live in a condo where most of the windows are covered, so there isnt exactly a lot of light shining through.

I just use my phone for the light. If I need to guide my dog somewhere, I need to turn on the light though. I swear, she's going blind. :/

i turn the bathroom light on and the kitchen, the kitchen always freaks me out in the dark

most of the time i leave the lights off as, even tho i'm terrified of the dark, i don't panic quite so much knowing that my OH is sleeping in a room nearby...however if he's away on a business trip or visiting relatives then every light in the house goes on immediately...!!

i've been terrified of the dark all my life, so i doubt that fear is going to go away any time soon...

if I'm alone at home I always forget to turn on the lights -anywhere- so it's pitch dark all the time. I mean that's okay now that it's summer and it's light out until 10 or so but in the winter when it gets dark at 4 I always trip over furniture and stuff :/

The only scary thing about my house is the panorama view window in the kitchen and the twisted staircase. They're both really shadowy and weird, I try to avoid them...

I actually don't. xD The only time I'm getting up is to go pee anyway, and my bathroom is like ten steps away from my room anyway lololol. I wait a bit so my already craptastic sight can adjust to the dark though, so I don't totally smack into a door or something. xD

If I go to the kitchen and get a bottle of water (only do that if I'm like dying), I still won't, and it freaks me out but ahh well. xD The only light is the fridge light, and after I close it I have to wait again so I can actually see. Hence why I don't ever turn the lights on at night, because it takes me that much longer to get back to my room. (horrible eyesight D:)

If I'm the only one up, I turn on every single light that is on the way to wherever I am going. :( I'm a scaredy cat. It makes no sense, though, because if I'm the only one home during the day/evening I have all the lights off. As soon as it's late night I get scared. Boooo.

@ MidnightShadow; You're not alone, I'm still scared of Bloody Mary also. I know it's kind of dumb but it's one of the reasons I dislike mirrors. XD

it's kind of easy though because we have this convenient chair rail on most of our walls.

If I need to go down to the ground floor, however, I will. Sometimes the cave crickets that inhabit my basement like to sneak up and hang out right in the middle of the goddamn floor and the last thing I want to do is step on one at 3 in the morning. D:
