"Get ready." Chloe told Hunter, her voice low, just before the dragon sent a ball of fire rolling towards them, which was a quite pathetic move. She had slayed many dragons before that actually fought better than this... thing.

Chloe jumped out of the way and with a flick of her wrist sent a stream of water flying towards the dragon, from where no one knew, but it worked anyway.

Hunter watched in fascination at the large and heavy stream of water darting towards the dragon, then blinked as it tried to curl around the dragon, trying to suffocate or entwine it.

bic: As the humans and Ragar began to fight, Kaero decided it was a good time to make herself scarce. She took a careful step forward, shrinking back when she stepped on a twig and it snapped. Though she was sure the other dragon had heard, she took another step and paused, enthralled by the battle going on.

A blue she-dragon sighed, sensing Kaero near a battle. "Why dragons?" she wondered aloud. She took off, staying close to the ground, looking for the battle. "Kaero!" Aqya, the liquids element dragon whisper-yelled to her friend. "What are you doing?"

Shit! Ragar thought, quickly letting loose a torrent of molten-hot flames. They immediately evaporated most of the water; the rest splashed over him and he shivered at the feeling. Great, water. The one weakness of a fire dragon. If fighting with the elements wouldn't be a fair fight, he had to test their combat skills. The girl is the most danger, he realized. I should eliminate her, first.

He leapt forward, closing the distance between them, and swatted a giant, clawed paw at her. More fire burst from his maw, burning the grass to ashy black crisps.

Aqya blinked in surprise. Whoops... she thought, stifling a laugh. She sighed. Well, trusting this to a Idosica is kinda stupid so... she thought and appeared from the trees. "Well, sorry, Ragar. Need some help?" Aqya said grudgingly. She froze the water into shards, knowing she was stronger than the girl. "There. Fire dragon's weakness is no more." she said. She pulled the shards up with a flick of her tail. "Now, girlie, want to rethink your move?" she asked coldly. "Or do....we have to do this the hard way?" Aqya gulped, surprised at herself for letting Ragar into the fight, knowing he'd mess up.

Kaero looked up and spotted Aqya, a shiver of relief washing over her. "I'm here!" Kaero whisper-shouted back, though it was pointless to whisper now. She reared up on her hind legs, wanting to watch the commotion. "Do you know that guy, Aqya?" she asked.

Ducking under the giant paw, Chloe quickly extinguished the flames erupting from his maw and darted over to the side, grabbing her brother's hand in the progress, and rolling into the shadows.

Another dragon. Great, just what they needed.

Acting quickly, she yanked her sword out of her belt and jumped out of the shadows, showing them the sharp edge and smiling slightly. Even though she knew that they would kill her easily, she didn't let that stop her bravery from erupting from her body.

Suddenly, water appeared and started to wind around the sword, creating layers of water around it. If the other dragon tried to freeze the water around her sword as well, she knew that it would only make her stronger, with a jagged edge to the sword.

The only problem was the ice shards. Trying to figure out what to do, she gently tapped her foot against the ground, summoning a light shield of water to protect them from the shards. It wouldn't work too well, but it would work well enough.

Hunter watched with amazement at his sister. He didn't know that she was that good at fighting with dragons, it was totally amazing. The only bad part was the fact that he had no talent whatsoever, and was probably the one to get them killed.

The boy took out his sword as well and held it in front of them, eying the two dragons with a keen eye.

Aqya eyed the girl's sword, reluctant to freeze it. No, that will make it stronger... she thought. "Put down the toy, girlie. That shield won't protect you against ice." she growled loudly. "Kaero, little help here would be nice!" Aqya said. "Make the numbers uneven." she added. "Oh, girlie's friend has a sword. How nice." Aqya said, lunging forward and grabbing it with her teeth. She dropped it, thought it was now cover in a block of ice. Couldn't hurt a fly(?). "Girlie, drop the sword." she said, calmingly. Persuasion. her mother always had told her. That is the key. It was hard to concentrate on what her mother said when these people's type killed her mother.

"Eh?" Ragar couldn't help the rather unintelligent-sounding word slip as he saw the effects of the second dragon. Where the hell did this one come from? he thought. He was slightly irritated at her sudden intrusion, but he didn't say anything nasty; her powers would be useful, and with her help, they could, most likely, defeat these dragonslayers.

He took a couple steps back, snorting like a horse, repulsed by the sudden amount of moisture in the air. The battle had stopped briefly, and he might as well take that opportunity to say something. "Why do you fight us?" he growled. "Why do you kill us and burn us? What benefit does it bring you?"

OCC: Circletimestory, can you please edit your post about her snapping Hunter's sword in half? For he could easily avoid that happening.

Fearfully, Kaero lunged from her hiding place at the humans. She had no experience fighting whatsoever, so she merely flung her bulk at the girl, claws outstretched and teeth bared. "Leave us alone!" she howled. That moment, she really wished she had an elemental power to use. However, if she did, she had never discovered it.

"You attack our kind. I have heard of your kind killing off our farmers and trying to destroy our kind. I really do not want to kill you, in fact, I am only here to keep us alive." She motioned to herself and her brother. "If you give me a good reason not to kill you, I'll leave." Chloe watched impatiently as the ice dragon froze her brother's sword, then snorted.

"Watch this, ice dragon." With a snap of her wrist the ice shattered, sending pieces flying. If someone watched closely they would see a giant wave of water crush the ice, freeing the sword.

Hunter scrambled forward, picked up the sword, then put it back into his belt. "If the give us proof that the stories aren't true we should side with them." He whispered quietly. "The stories might be the real liars, and if they are the dragons are innocent."

Chloe nodded then turned to Ragar. "He's right. Give us proof that the stories aren't true, then we might side with you. Innocent creatures don't deserve to die. But if you can't, and they are true, then I have to kill you. It's my job."

Just then, the other female dragon lunged at her. Chloe just calmly ducked under her paws and took a step back. "Please contain yourself."

Kaero hit turf, hard, and turned to see the girl behind her. "Hey!" she cried, turning around. "I'm just trying to help my friends! You attacked them! We weren't even doing anything! Please, I don't want anyone hurt. I've seen enough dying..." Her eyes clouded for a minute, and she lay down on the ground. "None of us have done anything wrong..."

Ragar snorted derisively. Of course they didn't want to hurt the dragons. Of course they were good-hearted. So of course he should just leave them alone, like his father never died. "No!" he snarled. "Even if I had proof, I wouldn't show it to you. You have deaths to answer for! You have debts to pay for coming after us just because of the stories you weak little mortals have spun!"

"I actually didn't fight with you first, your friend here fought with me first." Chloe pointed out. "We were walking when he jumped out at us, snarling. So we didn't start it." After staring at the female dragon for a moment or two, her eyes softened slightly. "How do I know that you haven't done anything wrong? I have only slayed one dragon before, and he was trying to destroy my village. He deserved it."

She turned to face the male dragon. "We have spun stories, but what I want to know is if they are real. I come after you out of fear that all of your kind are like the dragons that attacked my village, but I honestly and truthfully do not know if all of you are like that."
