"Where are you going?," Peter heard his aunt say from the kitchen as he headed towards the front door. He paused.
"Out," he answered cleanly.
"Obviously, but where?," he heard her asked, following his answer.
He sighed. After the death of his father, his aunt had taken him in. Peter had never really been close to his aunt but she was the only family member he had left on the island. Although she was kind, and very concerned for him, he still felt very distant from her. As a a child, he had never seen much of her. And after moving in with her, she tried her best to love him. But for some reason, he still felt a wall. "Beach. I need some sun," he said and then resumed towards the door.
He opened it and walked out before giving his aunt the time to point out that the sun was setting. He had been sick lately. Or at least, he thought he was. He was constantly cold and didn't know why. No matter how warm it was in the house or outside, he was always cold. He didn't want to be in the house. It was a little warmer outside, not that i made much difference to him.
He followed a path from the house to the beach, in the direction of the school.
"Jasper? Are you there?" Alisia peered up at Jasper, after trying to peek into his shack. She lowered her voice down to a whisper, "You know... Comrades? You're one, aren't you?"
She had started sensing other comrades a few days ago, and had been surprised that she had sensed Jasper as a comrade. "I think there's something weird about that..."
Obviously there was something wrong with sensing other people and calling them comrades, but there was also something else. About plants, and she wanted to see if Jasper could do the same thing.
"I'm so sorry, Keria! I wasn't watching," Yem exclaimed. "I'm Yem, and you're a..." He stopped himself. Comrade. He had wanted to say, but that seemed crazy. He didn't even know what a comrade was.
Comrade... He thought. Then remembered something. Something that made him pale and shake, eyes widened with fear, staring blankly ahead.
"Go die," the voice replayed itself in his head, appearing the same way the word "comrade" had. Then, he had been startled to discover himself on the cliff, alone, and posed to drop off any second. Extremely frightened, he had scurried backwards, and had almost slipped off the cliff. "Go die..."
However, the flashback had only lasted a fraction of a second, and he was back to normal. Flashing a shaky grin at Keria, he invited her to play with his friends, who had arrived, panting from exhaustion.
Jasper peered down at Alisia, his golden eyes curious. As soon as his eyes looked at hers, he heard the voice clear as day in his head, as if a person was sitting right beside him.
Comrade
That was all it said. It shocked him, his eyes glazing over for a second. He snapped out of it. "I-I think so..." He said shakily, replying to Alisia. He hopped down from the branch, landing on his feet.

Caleb spotted two people along the beach a little ways away, talking. As soon as he looked at him, the word Comrade pulsed through his mind loudly. It startled him, and Boomer made a sound when he jumped.
"Woah...What?" Caleb said to himself, still looking at the people. He felt drawn to them. He stood up, brushing the sand off of his pants, and started walking towards them.
Peter follow the path and passed by a tree where where a girl was speaking to someone. He did not see Jasper until he jumped out of the tree. He recognized them as students who went to the school and other teens who shared the island. He was pretty familiar with faces since he had a good memory. Sometimes though, he pretended not to remember. He paused a distant away from the pair, and looked in their direction. Something about them attracted him. He didn't know what exactly, but something in the back of his mind made him feel...connected to them.
However, he ignored the instinct and continued walking, headed towards the beach. He passed up Caleb along the way. Once again, he stopped. There it was again. That strange feeling of connection as if they had something in common. Maybe he was just being too sensitive. Whatever it was, it was starting to annoy him. After a few seconds, he stuck his hands into his pockets and started to walk again.
-OOC- Britt is accepted! Yay!
-BIC- Alisia smiled as Jasper hopped down from the tree. "Come on," she urged, hurrying inland, towards the direction of the Jungle, pausing only when she sensed another comrade. When she turned around, however, he was already hurrying away. Shrugging, she turned around and waited for Jasper to catch up.
Jasper, though wary, followed after Alisia. His face was draining of it'd original warmth. What did the girl want to show him? And why did he suddenly feel connected to her somehow?
Caleb neared the pair, a boy and a girl. He didn't particularly recognize them, but still walked towards them. "Hey," He called to them, waving one hand in the air. He had a friendly smile on his face, and Boomer was peering out of his pocket.
"Alright, we're almost there," Alisia called back as the trees rose around her, blocking out the sunlight. The air was suddenly cooled, causing bumps to rise on her skin. She shivered and ran a hand down her arm, then swatted at a few curious flies.
She paused, then jumped over a patch of shiny green leaves. On the other side, Alisia turned around, "Jump over that patch. It's some kind of ivy that makes you itch..." She didn't know the real name for it, and hadn't tried to make one up. Maybe, she could visit the Wreckage some day and see if there were any books from the outside world left. Or she could go ask the elders, but she'd get in trouble for visiting the Jungle, so she figured that she'd better try to find the answer herself.
There it was again. Yem turned around as a boy passed by, a comrade. Comrade? What on earth is a comrade anyways? He turned back as another boy walked by. A hedgehog stared at him, peeking out from the boy's pocket. "Hi! I'm Yem,"he introduced himself with a grin, then added, "You should hide your hedgehog. My friends are coming, and they're crazy about any animals..."
Yem tumbled forwards as someone jumped him from behind. He struggled upright and pushed his friend into the sand. Sitting on him, he peered down at him, "Give up?" He grinned, then gave his head a small shake, loosening a cloud of sand. His friend's hair was even worse. For some reason, it was damp, so the sand clung to it, coating each strand with white granules.
"No!" he grinned back and shoved Yem away. Before he could do anything else, the rest of them arrived. "Who has the ball?" Yem called, then caught the grass ball as it came zooming at his head. He grinned.
The ball was made of sun-dried leaves and grass, with a hollow inside. "Alright! Let's form two teams!" Yem turned around and looked at the boy and Keria, and said, "Want to join? We're playing soccer."
Jasper just followed along, shivering as the air got cooler in the trees. "Where are w-we going...?" he asked, his voice meek. He could feel his face burning again as he hopped over the shiny leaves as she told him to.
~~
"Sure, I'd love to join in." Caleb said, with a big grin. He loved sports of any kind. "I'm Caleb by the way." He introduced himself to them, and looked down as Boomer peeked out again.
"And this is Boomer." He chuckled, introducing the hedgehog. Satisfied that he had been introduced, Boomer crept back into Caleb's jacket pocket.
Peter stopped when he reached the edge of the water, watching as the waves slowly got closer and closer to touching his shoes. He looked up over the water and towards the horizon. The sunset looked so warm. If only he could feel that warmth. The golden gradient created was a beautiful sight. But as he looked out at the sky, he sensed something. What the heck was wrong with him? It kept getting this weird feeling. He looked around and noticed some people nearby. His eyes specifically fell upon a female. She looked to be about in his age range.
It seemed like everyone he passed this evening since he left the house gave him a familiar unexplainable feeling. It was at the back of his mind and he couldn't quite say what it was. He looked away and back out at the horizon. Usually, when a person feels connected to something, they would go find out the reason, but Peter was different. He didn't care to know.
He then heard a nearby voice. Something about soccer. However, he didn't turn to look. He kept his eyes out at the ocean.
Something hit Peter on his back and he quickly turned his head to look. A ball bounced off his back into the sand. He kept a nonchalant expression on his face and watched as the female ran towards him, apologizing. Peter reached his right arm under his other arm and wrapped around towards him back, dusting off the sand. He didn't say anything to the girl. He just gave her a quick scan from heads to toe. Then he turned and walked away from her, moving several meters down.
This was Peter. He didn't really care if it seemed rude. He didn't really see any point in saying anything to her. She apologized. He didn't really feel much necessity to reply.
OoC;;
Alright. xD Confoozled.
What the heck is going on? I read but I'm still a little unsure with this blunt comrade stuff. -shot-
-OOC- I was typing something, but I clicked something, so I lost it... And I'm too lazy to type it right now, so tomorrow. X3
And did Roseh receive the help needed? :3
Alisia replied, "We're there," as the trees opened up to a small clearing. It was well hidden, with tall, thickly leaved trees and bushes all around. Only she and Yem knew about this place. Sometimes, she'd bring Scent along with them, but she'd always have to be careful. Yem didn't approve of 'owning' Scent, but he let their family do so anyways. He just didn't want the horse bridled, like a tame horse, which she wasn't.
"Look at this plant," Alisia pointed out a small tree that came up to their thighs in the middle of the clearing. "It wasn't this big yesterday morning. I came here and sat next to it, having just realized that it was here. And staring at it. I kept withing that it'll grow up, so I'll know what kind of tree it is, and it did. It grew taller right in front of my eyes, and sprouted leaves. Do you think it has to do with the 'comrade' thing?"
Peter watched the sun disappeared behind the horizon and the sky went from purple turned deep dark blue. He should probably head home before his aunt went out looking for him. Plus, it was getting cold. Well, colder than the cold had already felt. He didn't wanted to get more sick.
Peter turned and started to make his way across the sand in the direction of his house. Well, his aunt house, technically speaking. He kept his hands in his pocket as he walked home. His arms was tightly to his side. He was really cold. He had been feeling that way for a while now. His aunt said he was probably just sick or something. However, Peter was a little more doubtful. Once, he was so cold, he literally saw his breathe when he breathed. However, his body warmed up a little after some warming up near the fireplace.
As he walked, he saw light coming from the house in the distance. It was a rather small house, almost cabin-like in appearance. He aunt never married and lived alone. Well, until Peter moved in with her. She had a spare room, which was now taken by Peter.
Peter paused outside the door of the house. He didn't really want to go in. He turned around the sat on the steps outside of the cabin. There was a swinging bench nearby, but he preferred the steps. He was still cold, but he didn't care. He knew he would still be cold even if he entered the house.

Ugh. I think I'll have to quit this. o-o Sugar's post helped me, but I'm still a little confused...xDDD
I can't even think of how to start..
Terra sprang out of her bed to a knock on her door. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she stumbled groggily towards the door. Her mother would never have woken her up, so it could only be...
"Dad!" Terra exclaimed as she opened the door. Her father was leaning lightly against the opposite wall, smiling weakly as he pulled his worn blanket closer around himself.
"You shouldn't be out of bed," said Terra, her pale blue eyes wide with shock as she led him slowly down the hall. "You were going to be late for school though if you didn't wake up soon..." her father whispered, his eyelids fluttering weakly. Terra quietly opened the door to his room. "And...you need to brush your hair...." he added jokingly, his eyes shining slightly. Terra chuckled quietly at her fathers joke as she led him to his bed.
Tucking him in, Terra said, "I'll promise to brush my hair. But, I already told you, you don't need to wake me up in the morning." She fluffed her fathers pillow. "I don't care if I'm late for school. I want you to get better..." Terra smiled softly and kissed her father's forehead. "Don't forget...lunch," said her father as she walked out. "I won't," Terra called over her shoulder, heading towards the bathroom.
She looked into the cracked mirror and looked herself over. Her bright orange hair was messier than usual and her long lasting sunburn seemed to have gotten worst, even though she spent most of her time in the shade. She sighed as she tugged at her wild hair, fighting the horrible knots.
A few moments later, Terra was dressed and ready for school, her hair tamed for the moment. She ran quickly towards the front door, but turned and ran into the kitchen for her lunch. Her mother was sitting silently at the old table, supposedly enveloped in her book. As Terra turned the corner she stopped. "Bye, mom..." she said quietly, eagerly awaiting a reply.
Silence was the only sound that reached Terra's ears as she turned and left, her heart heavy as she walked out the door into the sun. She took a deep breath and regained her posture then walked quickly towards the school. Terra noticed Keria as she walked and slowed when she reached her. "Hi," she said cheerfully, smiling slightly.
"Hey Keria, Terra! Wait up!" Alisia shouted as she ran up to her friends, walking on her way to school. With a start, she realized that they were giving off that strange feeling too. The comrade warning.
Today, she had let Scented stay home, since the mare was a bit chilled. She felt like walking anyways.
Peter stood outside the school building, leaning against a railing at the front steps of the school. In his hand, he held a black mini Zune mp3 player and he had earphones in his ears. Over his left shoulder was a black JanSport backpack. He liked hanging outside of the school as it was less crowded than being inside the school's hall in the morning. He had a while before the first class would start. The one thing he liked this school was that it was located near the beach. He looked up towards the sky and saw a few seagulls soaring around, doing their morning flight dance.
Peter shoved his hands into his hooded sweater's pocket.
