OCC: Loch is right, Dolphinstar is leader of Streamclan.
(Now you’re confusing yourselves. I have a list on the first page. I have already said that Cloudstar is Marshclan leader, Dolphinstar is Streamclan leader. Dolphinstar hasn't received her proper title yet. I'm putting a space between Holly feather. When I put the two words together the forum changes it to Hollyfeather. Its weird.)
Streamclan Ripplefur sighed weakly. So much for an early peaceful hunting trip. 'Alright, who ever is supposedly hunting, come with me. At this rate it will take sun high to get out of the camp.' His tail swayed with a little impatience. He went to stand with Nightsky.
Marshclan Holly feather gasped for breath. Had she done something to make her friend angry? Was that why she was trying to get rid of her? Sensing the med cats feeling Wildtalon pulled to a halt on a sand back. Holly feather almost crawled from the water. Panting softly, the she cat rested her nose on the ground. Her fur seemed to glow in the mist. Wildtalon sighed.
'Alright listen, this isn't anything personal but I just want to explore more of this territory.' without looking back she dashed up the hill and vanished. Holly feather didn't bother to follow. Wildtalon was the fastest cat she had ever met. She had little physical strength but a lot of speed. Holly feather picked herself up on wobbly legs. She took several deep breathed of the refreshing moist air and padded back into the murky water; she could at least look for some herbs now.

It looked like everyone was ready to leave for patrol, and that she could come with them. She fell into place with the about-to-leave hunting patrol and waited for them to go. She couldn't help stealing a glance at Wolfpaw again and lashed her tail in frustration. Stupid tom, why did he have to be there ruining her dream of becoming a medicine cat? She was too confused to be angry and too angry to be confused. Ugh! It wasn't fair. She sighed and drooped her ears.
[[OOC: Sorry about the deadness. I've been grounded.] I'm thinking about giving Solar a case of Greencough or what-have-you]
Solarflare, who had settled himself into the dirt while awaiting the group's departure, sprung up and stretched before bounding after the leader. He picked up his pace from an easy trot until he came beside the apparently impacient Cloudstar. He matched the higher-ups step, but a little behind, dipping his head in apology. The orangey tommy lowered himself a fraction to hide his pelt from any prey they might stumble apon- glowing orange is a pretty obvious color after all- and his paws tapped the ground lighter as they walked on.
[[Are we naming mentors for apprentices or just letting them be?]]
(If anyone would like to mentor an apprentice just post and we will sort it out. :) )
Streamclan Ripple climbed the steep tumbling sands to the ridge. He looked out over the marsh. he was looking forward to grooming junk from his fur yet again but the clan needed food to stay strong and he was determined to insure this. He slipped down into the black water, reeds parting as he waded out. They would need to find the shallow warm patches; this usually held the most fish as they fed off the insects there. The thick fog that morning meant no birds for the fresh kill pile. Ripplefur had a thought.
'Pick a partner and cover them, we can't see to well but I'm sure the water hawks can.' he yowled over the flowing water. He waited back for Nightsky. They would have to keet in front to make the pass easier in the faster currents.
Oakflight padded out of the den, a lopsided smirk on her face. She followed Strawberrypaw's expression from the outside of the elders den. Oakflight may not be able to hunt in the cold waters but she could help Bluespot and her apprentice. She snuck up behind the pale red apprentice. 'Something on your mind?'
Marshclan
Marshpaw wounded around aimlessly. With a heaving sigh he padded to the warriors den and began to drag out the old bedding. Even if the job was terrible it was still better then looked like a lost kit in his own camp. Taking a mouthful of the dead reeds he tossed them into the swift currents and watched as they vanished from sight under the black swell. He began slicing reeds with sharp teeth. He dragged them to the highrockes and began stamping them flat.

Strawberrypaw jumped at the elder's rough voice from behind her.
"No, nothing particular is on my mind" she lied. There WAS something on her mind, but she could never tell any cat. "I'm just waiting for the patrol to leave. I need a parter, though, according to Ripplefur." Wolfpaw, wolfpaw, wolfpaw, she chanted silently. Please let him as her, please, please-oh-please-oh-please....
She looked at the elder again, hoping she would buy her fib. If she didn't, she'd have to make something else up. And she was sort of distracted, standing so near... UGH! She had to stop thinking about him!
OCC: Lionstep will mentor Marshpaw. :P I'm brain dead, sorry.

Silent as a fox, deadly as a badger.
That was what Wolfpaw wanted to be. Large gray paws itching to run ahead and jump, hunt, fight anything that stumbled into his path, the apprentice managed to stay right behind the warriors, yellow eyes darting hurriedly back and forth, waiting for something to happen.
Someone to show up. Something to fight.
Like always, there was none. No one jumped from the shadows, nothing threatened their lives in a dangerous way.
Wolfpaw let out a sigh. Life was short, especially life as a Clan cat, and he wanted to be able to experience it all. He wanted to fight badgers, kill foxes, and someday become the best warrior that the clan has ever seen.
Not the leader, that was a too high hope for him. No one would really want him as leader, his personality wasn't right for the position.
It wasn't like he wanted the position either, he would absolutely hate to be the leader of a clan.
So, after thinking about all of that, the tom finally smiled. Smiled because something would happen soon as fate would allow it. He smiled because he knew that there would be at least one cat out there who would care for him the way others cared for their mates.
Someone, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someone would finally find him and rescue him from his dark world.
Wolfpaw walked with a slight spring in his step as he realized that someone would find him and love him. His yellow eyes were brighter than they were before. Something had sparked in him, his heart was pounding roughly against his chest as he followed the warriors on the patrol.
Strawberrypaw hurried to catch up as the patrol left. She walked alongside Wolfpaw, attempting to make conversation.
"Um, I heard there are lots of water hawks around here. Have you ever seen one?" She flinched internally when she said that, realizing how pathetic it sounded. And why was she even bothering to talk to him? It wasn't like they'd ever... If only her stupid brain would shut up! Still, she walked by Wolfpaw, as if he might actually reply. Keep dreaming, she told herself.
She noticed a clump of watermint, which seemed must more prevalent since the territory had swamped. She darted over and picked it, burying it like fresh-kill to pick up on the way back. She went back to the patrol.
"That was watermint. Good for bellyaches." She informed Wolfpaw, as if he'd actually care. She would have sighed at how stupid she was being, but she didn't want to make it look like she didn't like him.

When I created Violetpaw I asked if she could like Wolfpaw. Did you answer...? I see Strawberrypaw catching on. Drama...^_^;
Violetpaw heard Strawberrypaw and Wolfpaw leaving on the patrol. She sighed. Oh well. At least she'd have some stories to listen to.
"Oakflight," she said curiously, only half facing the bracken-colored elder. "Tell me about what it was like when StreamClan was an independent clan please."
Violetpaw scooped up some wet sand as she waited for her to answer. She started to climb and stuffed the sand into a crack.
(If anyone is wondering, Ripplefur's attitude is a little like Kakashi’s, if you no who that is.)
Streamclan Ripplefur shrugged. 'We have an extra now which makes things slightly difficult.' He swivelled his head to look at the med cat apprentice. Her attraction for Wolfpaw was painfully obvious to Ripplefur but he bit his tongue. It would probably be rude to laugh. 'Wolfpaw should go with Strawberrypaw and I will hang back.' he let the water carry him to the back of the patrol. It wasn't a bad view either.
Oakflight shuffled her back legs in the dry sand. She had been making a nice hollow. The little sun that did seep through warmed the sand. She wedged herself into it and laid her chin down. She was surprised to see Violetpaw coming towards her and even more surprised to see the apprentice wanting to know the old stories.
'Come here young one and repeat this too few. You probably remember that the marsh was not always a marsh. It was sandy river banks with beds of flowers. The trees used to talk to one another; all the leaves were different sky colours. When the rains came a few seasons ago, they flooded everything and it changed our ways. But cats have forgotten as stories loose their nature to be interesting. Streamclan has faced this before and that was when we met them...

OCC: Your cat can like anyone they want, Choc. But he may not like her back.

"Hey, at least I'm having fun." Wolfpaw blinked, Shadepaw's voice breaking through his moment. "Do you have fun making jokes about other cats? Does it amuse you?" He asked quietly, walking slightly faster so that he could be in front of the she-cat. Sometimes, just sometimes, she annoyed him. Like today, but other times he found her interesting.
Great. Another she-cat that he found interesting.
"Hm?" He asked quickly as Strawberrypaw fell into step right next to him. "Water hawks? I've seen a few. Not many, I don't really wait around for them to come to me, and honestly I don't want to see one." He told the medicine cat patiently. "They are here, though."
He blinked his narrow yellow eyes as she scurried away to gather some herbs, then pitifully explained about them. "Okay." He said simply. "Watermint, I should probably remember what that looks like."
Strawberrypaw nodded as he replied to her rather weak watermint comment. Her ears almost pricked up as Ripplefur gave them permission to go together, but she checked herself just in time. She noticed a patch of parsely, but decided they didn't need it. It was a fairly useless herb, only being good for stopping milk in mothers whose kits had died. They had plenty of it back at camp. Some daisy leaves would be good for the elders, especially with Oakflight complaining so much, but she hadn't seen any so far. Some marigold, for infections...
She sighed. So many important herbs had died when the area flooded. Most importantly, catmint. If there was an outbreak of Greencough, Starclan forbid, then they would have only a tiny amount of the herb to treat it with. At least the watermint was growing well.
And on top of all that, there was Wolfpaw. She didn't know what she would do at the next quarter moon, when she would have to speak with Starclan. Would they refuse to make her a medicine cat? They surely wouldn't approve.
"This looks like a good stretch of river for fishing in," Strawberrypaw commented. The river was open, so there was plenty of sun coming through the fog, and there were plants trailing in the gentle current. It would have been pretty if not for the turmoil within the apprentice.
Violetpaw's eyes widened. She found that amazing and sad. She hopped down from the crag.
"It seems so wonderful, yet so surreal," Violetpaw breathed, as quiet and as stunned as a bubbling brook. "I wish I could see. I think a remember a small seedling when I was a kit..." She faced Oakflight, with a new knowledge stuffed into her head, but not as...rudely, unlike when the horrible truth hit her when Bluespot said she was blind. Bluespot was gentle, but Violetpaw couldn't accept that fact. But Oakflight's just, kind of flowed in...
"It's a shame it still isn't around." She sighed. The subject of a wonderful territory led to the crude fact that she couldn't see. It was depressing her. Violetpaw changed the subject.
"Oakflight, do you still want sunlight to flow in? I could make it so that the rain wouldn't fall into your nest."
((I have to drop out of this rp D: I have to study for some credit tests so I can legally pass them. ): Sorry everyone! My cats were Treelicker and Solarflare))
Strawberrypaw looked over at Shadepaw and felt a vague sense of sympathy for the apprentice. She seemed confused, sad, and a little bit angry. The medicine cat apprentice walked over to her and smiled at the sometimes-cold cat. "Why don't we stop here? You can fish while I look for mallow. I thought I saw a patch over there." She grinned encouragingly at the she-cat. Shadepaw seemed so lonely sometimes--maybe she just needed a friend. That was Strawberrypaw's specialty.
See you round SpotteH. Sorry I haven't posted lately. being sick is not fun. nor is coughing up blood :Z )
Streamclan: Oakflight sighed. ‘New Leaf has only just begun. It is still too cold for my old bones so no. I would like the gaps filled in.’ she went back to grooming herself. The apprentice had completely missed the other half of the story. ‘Don’t worry, you’ll no when the patrol comes back. With new leaf their shadows will lurk.’
Ripplefur agreed and began to tread water. The water was a swift current but the liquid itself was warm. Glitters of silver swept around them. He plunged his head under the water and surfaced with a large fish. There was a low sand bank close by. He took the liberty of swimming over and burring it before joining the others. ‘We will stash the fish over their.’ He nodded back towards the bank.
Marshclan: Wildtalon froze mid paw step. A splash of water caught her by surprise. She was approaching the muddy warm waters of the reptile territory. She peered over the bank and received a surprise. It would seem she would not have to find them. They had walked right out into the open.

Strawberrypaw willingly trotted over to the clump of mallow that she'd seen earlier, burying it a little off to the side of the fresh-kill, so that no one would think they were digging up a water vole when really it was a pile of leaves. There probably wouldn't be much yarrow, as it preferred to grow in more dry places than this. She wished there were a twoleg den nearby; they were running a bit low on catmint. She walked over to the shore to grab some more watermint--they certainly wouldn't be having many bellyaches running through the clan--and buried it with the mallow.
Thanks for inviting me ^-^ I'll make two cats though I don't know what should be what... um I don't know what it's like being a deputy.. never role played one of those and a leader too ._.
