ooc// What we call YOU: Crimson Name: Khalid Amon (known to the guests as Seti Mhotep) Gender: Male Appearance: Stringy green-yellow hair falls in an impressive mane around the contour of his head. Braided nearer his skull, no tie affixes the end of each twined strand, and the hair free to loosen, which it does. The lightly-bronzed complexion of the Egyptian contrasts with the strange hair colour, making him a most memorable figure. To add to general appearance, the glowing eyes will range in hue from dull amber to a brilliant glowing red-orange, particularly when he senses the onslaught of a massacre. A slender and flexible form, no extra pound of fat or flesh is wasted on a wiry frame, and his skin is stretched taut, marked with countless scars. Mostly adorned in a collared, bi-colour vest of dark gray and black, the two shades meet in the back. A flap of material of either colour wraps around in the front to wrap around his slender body. A stylized feather symbol is wrought on the back, in bright copper threat, while the same primitive symbol is also impressed into his black trousers. Around his arms, and his ankles, he wears thick plated clasps of burnished bronze, most often studded with glowing topazes and onyx gemstones. The dull bronze-linked neck-piece that protects his neck is studded with warm topazes and onyxes, forming a marbled pattern. Other chains of bronze also loop from his garments randomly. He wears black boots, rimmed at the edges with copper, perfect for crushing, maiming, and stomping, a favourite article of attire for him. Age: Unknown, though he looks 21 Race: Vampire Nationality: Egypt. For a little background on him, one must first understand Egyptian vampires. Egyptians have always worshipped violent, bloodthirsty gods. Thus, when the first British vampire entered their ranks, they thought he was the reincarnation of Osiris. How wrong they were. But it wasn't long before some of the high priests decided to go through the process of 'vampirization', realizing that they had the hope of attaining deification. Khalid Amon, son of one of the high priests, was a willing subject. To be 'reincarnated' as Ammit, the Devourer, he was given to drink human blood and crocodile blood, to gorge on both until he was near bursting. And then, he was given a single drop of vampire blood, collected from the original British vampire. Floated down the Nile in a floating pyre, as with all other victims, Khalid decided in a fit of fey humour to disappear. Life as a priest? As a lazy god to be brought dainty, bloody morsels? That wasn't his forte. The crazed young vampire stole away, and disappeared into the desert. He's come to the party in lieu of Seti Mhotep, a charming vampire who was friends with Lord Deveaux. Who is currently dead. A violent, bloodthirsty, rather crazed character, Khalid has spent the last eternity or so devolving until all that remained of him was the instinct to kill, tempered by animal cunning. He doesn't just kill humans. He kills vampires, and drinks their blood as well. He'll feast on anything and anyone... and makes no distinction for foe or friend. Personality: With a rated-R personality, he is not for the kiddies. An ancient creature, his transformation has left him a little less human and a little more animal. Not to say that he was ever normal to begin with. Even sane, he had always been a lewd, crude, violent creature, happily indulgent in all forms of moral bankruptcy. Tending to run at the mouth, he would never think to hold back anything he thinks to say, be it appropriate, tactful, or not. Simultaneously, he believes that everyone else is below him. Carrying a paradox; the 'holier-than-thou' attitude he displays seems at odds with his glorification of the personality faults he bears. The animal in him has not improved him for the better. Adding a bestial, primal streak to whatever else he had touted, the animal passions he had always been subject to have now enslaved him. A fine touch of laziness and ennui characterizes his form; beneath the seemingly dormant outcast, a roving bronze eye gives away the near-bipolar aspects of his personality and his tendency to snap into a psychopathic stage. Deeply unstable, the creature is to be treated with extreme caution. Not at all a somber figure, by any means, he has a raw playfulness tainted with cruelty. Beneath the sadism, there is absolutely no redeeming factour. Still, that does not deter the optimists, who try (in spite of everything) to find the 'hidden good' within him. Their fallacies are based on the assumption that all humans have an inherent goodness and an inherent evil, no matter how they act. And therein lies the error: there is nothing remotely human about him. The licentious pleasures he shares with humans? Well, it could also be said humans share promiscuity with animals, after all. He certainly says so. Nevertheless, to give the optimists some credit, he spends most of his time in tame repose, even if he can be abrasive or confrontational. At the end of the day, he is disinclined to act unless provoked. Watch the world: Burn.
