Although sorrow's lifeless Body Lay resting upon the ground, all scenses were at work. As a Wolf's Instinct it was important that the creatures made sure to keep safe, especially when they were unable to defend themselves. His black ears lay warily upon his head, slacking off in their department, but it wasnt long before his nose had picked up an eerie scent. Slowly the smell set within his brain and finally, after too long, clicked.
All within the blink of an eye, his eyes flew open, the silver hues looking on angrily, a snarl rose from deep within his being, and he was up on all fours ready to pounce. For a moment he was suprised by his own sudden agression, but his attention was turned back to the wolf before him. Something told him that this was it. This was the One he'd been looking for, but he couldnt let his guard down.
"What do you want here" he barked viciously, noting that the bloodlust was still upon this creature. His claws dug into the earth planted beneath his black feet while tail raised proudly behind him. His long leg took one warning step forward, before he moved up yet again, thinking about chasing the intruder away.
This looked as though it could be a dangerous fight, but instincts sugeested otherwise. Insticts were something that Sorrow counted on more than anything else. They were the one thing that had kept him going when he would have rather starved to death. They gave life meaning. A pang ran throughout his long body upon realizing that he hadnt had any sort of food all day...acctually, for 3 days in a row. It wasnt a big amazment that a wolf could make it that long not eating. Sometimes it took 7 to 8 days in a pack to track a dying animal.
[Sorry, this Really was not a good post]
(( Four was killed in a tragic accident involving a several potatoes, a roll of duct tape, and a large fog machine. His family doesn't like to talk about it... ))
Name: Cherokee Gender: Female Age: 1 year Pack: (optional) Pack Position: Healer Appearance: (picture or Description) Pure white stomach, legs and muzzle with a silvery 'cape' covering her upper parts. Her eyes are a vivid blue, and her ears and tail-tip are white. She is a pretty small wolf, with an unusually long and silky pelt. Other: None
[Welcome Lochness]
Sorrow continued to examine the other, watching warily with wide silver eyes. It wasnt until he saw the obvious submission in the others actions that he decided to let up. Rather than thinking things through like he probably should have, his natural Dragga instinct took over and he approached the Sikla like Creature. His muzzle bend down to the others and licked slightly at his muzzle.
It tasted fresh of blood, just as it looked. He rounded the animal growling all the while in warning. His steps were quick, diliberate, and each time put a mark in the snow covered ground. When he was fully done with his 'inspection' of sorts, he returned his his spot upon the ground and rolled onto his side. He didnt probe the one for any more answers, knowing that he would not be as comfortable as Sorrow was in his presence, but he proceeded with "Shouldnt sneak up on a sleeping Varg, Even you should know that" He meant no threat or rudness by it, just merely curious as to why one of his own wouldnt expect this reaction.
[8( My posts are getting crappier..sorry]
(( Sorry, but what are the packs? I'm a little confused. ))
Cherokee paced a small clearing, waiting for a wounded wolf to find her. She half-hoped, half- feared that one would. Hoped, because it would give her something to do, feared because she hated to see other wolves being hurt. She really hoped no Dragga's or Drappa's or high-ranking Hunters would come, either. She was one of the lowest ranking--yet most essential--members of the pack, and having to constantly kneel down to almost everyone was a pain. Just because she didn't hunt, she was considered a burden. Why didn't they recognize that they wouldn't have caught the deer--which she only had the scraps of--if they'd all been riddled with infected wounds and broken bones? All wolves got hurt at some time or another, it was a fact.
She had no skill whatsoever in hunting--she'd learned at an early age. Her healing talents made up for that, but not much. Instead of being thrown out or Sikla'd, she got a slightly higher rank because of her power. But no one really knew what she went through to constantly earn their approval. They didn't know of the times she was close to fainting, when they'd been really injured or multiple wolves had been. They couldn't understand why she was so small and thin, when it was really because the healing sapped her energy so much. There was so much that she went through, that no one knew of.
She made a small hollow in the snow and lay down in it, rolling on to her back to catch a few weak rays of sunlight. She rolled back on to her stomach, resting her chin on the ground and letting her tail flop down weakly. She felt so tired, recently. She'd been deprived of sleep, far overworked. Sometimes it seemed like other wolves thought of her like a machine, something Humans would make. She sighed, trying to relax while she could. Soon someone would find her, and she'd have to drain herself even more.
(( Could someone with a wound find her or something? I'm sure we have a few cuts and scrapes. ;D ))
Ooc: Thing with the packs is that..well basically if you join someone elses pack..then you play a role...if you say that your part of another pack..then you can play your role and occasionally the role of others....
Basically most of us are loners right now

Sorrow eyed the white wolf carefully. The others movements were lined with sadness, the pain etched into every fiber of this being. "Your the One" He spoke the words allowed in a soft whisper, although he knew that Judge had heard him. Of Course he meant 'the One' as "The One i've Been Looking for My Whole Life" But that would have sounded very odd to a wolf he'd just met. He Stood Slightly and padded over to where the other had layed to rest, pawing the ground slightly where he lay and wimpering.
He slowly dropped down, sitting directly infront of the other, head tilted slightly. Sorrow knew his actions before had been a little to violent, but that was the way of such a creature. The instict to survive flowed through his veins. Natural and Strong. "You" He began yet again "you are the one who howls to the night in pain. Who reaches the heavens with your song of sorrow." With every word of puff of white smoke touched the air between the two wolves.
The Feeling was Very Odd. It was as though they had been intertwined their whole life, yet at the same time, they were Complete Strangers. Normally Sorrow wouldnt have been this welcoming to ANYONE, but The need to Befriend the other before him, was to strong to ignore. A Power coarsed through his veins, the power of...'want.' He felt wanted again. He Himself, wanted again. And if he could have, he probably would have relieved this feeling over and over again.
Ebony stepped into the forest and sniffed the air casually. Yes, there were other wolves here. She did not recognize any of the scents, she had followed the human further than she had originally thought. She was outside of her own boundaries, so far in fact, that she could no longer scent anything familiar. Ebony had always feared the unknown, but this time she did not. Something about this part of the forest called to her.
The scent of blood reached her nostrils and her stomach growled menacingly. She needed food now or she could be eaten from the inside out. Throwing caution to the wind, she took off running. She did not care at this moment who discovered her, all she wanted was something to eat. It was not long before she heard soft voices, smelled onther wolf she had not smelled before. Someone was nearby and she was alone. A sense of danger shot through her and she immediately slowed, her hackles rising.
Glad to be downwind of the stranger, she ducked into a nearby bush. At least this way she would be somewhat safe until she was noticed. She would get the chance to size up her opponent this way.
Ebony hesitated for a moment before standing up and walking into the clearing. Contrary to her first thoughts, there was only one wolf in the clearing. A female like herself although this one was thin and looked weak. Cocking her head slightly, Ebony very cautiously walked toward the other female.
"Um, hello... Are you alright?" She asked the other wolf, lowering her tail and head so as not to seem menacing. "My name is Ebony, who are you?" She asked, smiling tentatively. Her dark tail wagged slightly through the air as she took another slow step forward. Upon reaching this thin wolf, Ebony layed down facing the female and placing her head on her paws.
Her heart throbbed once as she thought of the human she had been following. Although she loved him, he did not seem to like her much. The human had always seemed so kind to the strange docile dogs in the small town. She could not understand why he did not want love her the way she did him.
Shaking her head quickly, she brought herself back to reality. This was no time to let her mind wander. For all she knew this other wolf might decide to attack and she would have no warning. Her eyes came back into focus and she forced her mind to stay in reality. It was difficult when all she could think about was the human she deemed hers.
Tarrin stepped into his house and smiled at the tiny dog running around his legs. "Hey Shen." He chuckled, picking the puppy up and cuddling with it for a second. He had always loved dogs they were always there for him.
He sat down on his bed and set Shen down. His mind wandered to the wolf that he had seen lately. He had seen it just today. It had been following him home again. "That beast must have it out for me..." He muttered to his dog, now half-asleep in his lap. "so if I don't come home one day that wolf probably killed me."
With a shudder of fear, he leaned back against his pillow and stared at the ceiling. Sure, the wolf had nevermade any aggressive move toward him, but all the same it was a wolf. "I'll bet it has rabies." He said under his breath. Yet, something deep down whispered, She does not seem to mean you any harm Tarrin.
"Huh? Yes, I'm fine," Cherokee said, tilting her head a bit and getting up, shaking fur from her white-and-silver pelt. "I'm Cherokee, a healer. Have you seen any other wolves around here? I can't seem to find any. And there's so many humans..." Her voice trailed off, wondering why the humans were cutting down some of the forest to fuel their fires. What kind of animal would want to start a fire on purpose? It seemed so strange to her. Whenever she saw a smoke plume floating up from a human's den, she felt a sense of raw fear at the flame that was under it.
She looked around again, hoping to see a rabbit, or better yet, a deer, but her search was unrewarded. She couldn't seem to find much food lately, unless she stumbled into a wolf or pack that would trade some food for her healing. "You haven't found any prey, have you? I can't hunt very well, but I can heal. I have what you might call a talent." Or a curse, but she didn't say that out loud.
(( Writers block is evill.... ))
Sorrow Read the Looks upon the others Face. He was fighting internally. And it wasnt hard to Pick out. It was as though sorrow Was Looking at himself. He had once been like that. He had once thrown the life he was given away. But one night...there was a dream. A Dream that somewhere, he was needed. Somewhere, he was wanted. And then, He Knew. This was it. What hed waited for.
It seemed Odd. It seemed...unrealistic. But He Knew. "Sorrow" He sighed out slightly. It was a response to the name of the other. His name was taken from the human word, and he resented it slightly, but everytime he though about himself, and his name, thoughts about his parents and their protection came back to him. And He Suddenly loved himself again. It was his fault that his brother was Gone, But he Refused to deal with that every day. He was young. And Stupid. And One Day, he would be with his brother again. Kurt. That was his brothers Name.
A Small smile crept across his face as he scooted closer to judgement. He wagged his tail in hopes to make the other more comfortable in his presence. "Do Not Be Sorrow. Your songs are beautiful" That might have not been the right word, concidering his howls probably had meaning behind them..But it was a start to becoming friends.
[Sorry...my posts arent so good either.]
Sorrow rested his head on his paws once more in hopes of catching some sleep before the day broke through the clouds once more so shine its rays upon the world. But not merely a second after doing so did his stomach sound off, giving a howl of its own. The Howl of starvation. He gave an uncomfortable look before rolling upon his back and pawing at the air, much like a house cat would do while torturing a ball of yarn.
His eyes wandered ahead into the darkness of night. Unlike usual, there were hardly any stars showing themselves tonight, for the snow clouds had take their place in heaven tonight. Once more did he roll over, only laying on his side, deciding that the hunger would have to be put off till morning. Tommorrow is the first day of forever he told himself, smiling slightly before once again closing his eyes. It wasnt long until his body went limp and he was drifting into the world of dreams.
Ebony sat up and smiled, "No, but I could swear I smelled a fresh kill somewhere." She sniffed the air tentatively, "Nope... It's faint now. I can't really smell it anymore." She cocked her head, "You can heal? Really? That's cool." She smiled, "I'm a good hunter, but I have not seen any prey today. I was at least hoping for a rabbit or something."
Tarrin sat up suddenly, causing his dog to jump. "Do you think that wolf knows something I don't?" He whispered, mostly to himself. "What if she wants me to know something important?" He dropped back into his bed, "Or maybe it's just hungry..."
ooc: Sorry, writer's block.
Sorrow Remained in his Death Like State For Quite Some Time After That. It wasnt until about an hour after the sun had already peeked its way through the clouds that his body finally stirred. Although his body stretched itself out and his mouth opened in order to let the yawn out that had long awaited the world, his eyes remained closed for quite some time. He licked his lips slightly, and sniffed the air. It was fresh with the scent of a kill, although the blood wasnt very thick within the air.
Once his eyes did finally open it took him awhile to remember the previous night. His eyes ajusted to the light an flicked from the kill to Judgment. Ah Yes. The white wolf had remained the night. It was a bit suprising to the black wolf, but he could not hide the pleasure from this event. A smile formed across his lips before he let out a giddy little bark. "Beautiful Day" he said, looking around at the freshly fallen snow. He gave his own coat a rough shake in order to remove the melted snow.
It was nice to see that the white wolf was almost as fond of him. Or at least it seemed so. The kill had barely been touched, so Sorrow figured it was for him, but he didnt get to hasty. Although he was very hungry. His stomach clenched a bit, but he held himself back from looking greedy.
