Wow, I've been having a great time with this, sitting back and watching as everybody at my school and everyone everywhere else are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. :)

As far as I'm concerned it's just the pharmaceutical companies and media blowing up a small thing to sell that $2 billion of Tamiflu bought during the Avian flu (remember how horrible that was?) which happens to expire around this time.

And cripes, people, 36,000 people die from the flu every year. Quit panicking and MAKING yourself sick.

Yeah I heard the thing about the masks. It's pointless for healthy people to wear them because the virus can still get in through their eyes. It'd be more practical for sick people to wear them.

Swine flu has reached Melbourne, Australia. I live about an hour from there. I cant have my school shut down I have exams coming up soon!

And apparently there were some severe cases is Queensland where the people had to be hospitalized. Is the flu getting worse or could it just be the virus reacting differently with different people?

I just found out my friend has the piggy flu. I'm a bit worried because she has a 5 week old baby. :( They have the antiviral medicine, but still... scary stuff.
