What are the rules of socializing?

<p>I&;m fine with socializing IRL and I have plenty of friends, but online, especially on Subeta, I&;m like... socially retarded. REALLY socially retarded. Like I never know how to talk to people or keep a conversation going. I always feel awkward complimenting people&;s pets or HAs or whatever, although I do try.
this for me too :P I'm useless at socializing over the net and have no problems irl...
My irl rules would be: don't always talk about yourself. It is dull. say whatever comes to mind (within reason) smile and keep eye contact. don't be shy. It will make things awkward. Relax.
tbh I have no rules online. Maybe that's why I don't work socially here :P
also: I think that people irl are a lot nicer and less intimidating than people online. Must be the anonymity.

I socialize perfectly and making friends on here isn't hard.
And I have stupid friends on here telling me breathing fast stops hiccups =_=
I suck at both rl and internet.
In rl I'm really shy and quiet, and never speak my mind about things because I'd come off as rude or I just don't care what people are talking about. I feel more comfortable sticking my head in a newspaper or pretending I'm doing something so people wouldn't want to talk to me :P
