I was going to say that. And yeah, her legs were spread. Her knees weren't together. I don't see how she could have thought this wouldn't have happened?
Obviously they'd seen it before it was published. It's the school or editor or photo companies fault. Not hers. Why should she pay the rest of her life for something like that?
It's pretty stupid
In my senior year, the (very immature, evidently) yearbook staff put a bunch of really cruel jokes on our high school's special education page and they made it look like typos. They also inserted things like "Jesus Christ" into the listings of band students, etc. No books were recalled, despite the fact that these "typos" included jokes about suicide. They just released an insert with the book about how deeply sorry they were for the unfortunate typographical errors.
None of that is terribly related, but they should make this girl go through and sharpie out her cooch in every book. What a dumbshit.
I agree. I also like the gold star idea. xD
Man, if I had been that girl's mom I would've beaten the shit out of her. My mom would kill me if she found out I was wearing a dress that short to school without underwear, let alone a picture of it ending up in the yearbook.
The dress was really short. She should have at least worn a thong, I thought that's what they were for? Or she could've crossed her legs.
am i the only one who finds it HILARIOUS that she is baring her twat in a ton of yearbooks in front of her classmates but apparently she can't bare to show her face on the internet in front of a bazillion strangers?
every time i saw that clouded blur of a face, i just wanted to crack up.

I find it hilarious that people are blaming the school.
The silly bitch went to school in a thin little dress with no undies. She sat in the front row of a group pic and spread her knees.
WTF did she think was gonna happen?
It's partially her fault. I don't think her or her family should be able to sue about it. The picture wasn't intentional; she should dress right at school. Even with a dress it's not that hard to wear a thong or some tight booty shorts that won't have lines showing under it.
I think her mother and the school staff are making too big of a deal about it. If nobody had pointed out the picture, the students might have gossiped about it amongst each other for a while, then forgotten all about it when summer came around.
And yeah... common knowledge, when you're sitting and a picture is being taken CLOSE YOUR LEGS. And be sure your dress covers all of your private bits.
Anytime I wear a short skirt I ALWAYS cross my legs, even though I am wearing underwear. O-o You think if she owns short clothes like that she'd know that by now. Unless it is a clear image, I don't think she can do anything about it. And if it haunts her, she can go see a therapist or something. There are worse things in life and she'll probably need help anyway. =D
...Mmkay, so I'm a bitch. But I'm admitting it so no one has to tell me.
oh man, that's really awful. it almost made me cry. (sorry i'm super sensitive about that kind of stuff.)
this situation with the cooch and all, it's much less of a deal than that, so i doubt it will be reprinted...
isn't that what makes things fun at reunions, though? people will STILL be debating on whether it was a shadow or not, hahah!
Lmao thats /hilarious/
Sorry, but I just lmao'd.
If this girl is stupid enough to 1. wear no underwear with a skirt and 2. not /close her legs/ she DESERVES to have her ass shown off to everyone.
It's not like it'll actually follow her. It's probably just a shadow. I mean, seriously.
Really, i think she did it for attention. its her fault. Shes the one that decided not to wear underwear, and if it were me, i think id rather have panty lines than not wear any at all. And i find it odd that she didnt close or cross her legs, when she was obviously aware she wasnt wearing underwear.

It's more the girl's fault...
She should've thought "OH! I'm not wearing underwear. Maybe I should cross my legs or completely close them so my whooo-ha doesn't show"
To me that's pretty much common sense.
um ew! i dont think it would be a god idea to reprint the yearbook. she made a choice!
but srsly gross O.o
Working on filled wardrobe achievement. Almost at 12k!
We had something similar happen at my school last year. A freshman girl wore a tube top for picture day and when the picture was taken it looked like she wasn't wearing a shirt at all. They retook the picture, and pasted it as a sticker into every single yearbook. A lot of people picked off the sticker. However, it isn't appropriate for school, and they shouldn't have selected the picture to be put into the yearbook knowing that there was an opportunity for some confusion.
I remember our yearbook advisor telling us about one year where the class voted some as "most likely to become the next Monika Lewinski". the publisher didn't notice until after the yearbooks had been sent to the school, so the class had to take all the yearbooks and scrape out the section with her photo/caption in it.
Maybe that's an option for the school? It would stink to have to reprint every single yearbook, then again it would suck having your picture scratched out of every single yearbook too but it's better than everybody seeing or thinking that they've see your private parts. I mean holy cow..why would you not wear panties with a dress that short AND sit with your legs slightly spread?..maybe she should practice in front of the mirror next time.
PS
not that it's his or her fault, but how did the photographer not notice?
