Disappointed again today. Got a couple of junk game prize items and another cheap item. Tried prodding them with a few nicer items, in case /they/ were waiting to see how active I was, but nothing.

Really want an active MM so I can spoil them. I'm sure it wasn't this bad last year

MM and I were doing good today and then s/he just poofed on me. :(

My MM today was amazing. I haven't posted in a while but my prior MMs were satisfactory or the usual run of the mill. After coming back from running over people with my cart at Cosco my MM and I engaged in a final battle. She or he only thinks they ended the gift battle with a bang... but I will strike later on and get MY REVENGE.

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I'm having a blast with mine today. I'm hoping they are understanding my appreciation! :D

I spent an entire week trying to prepare a gift bombage to a responsive MM but I got outmatched >.<

I had such a bad week with MM, but tonight, tonight has been AWESOME

I keep getting duds! Past two MMs have sent me boatloads of cheap plushies and beanbags that can be bought from the Plushie Parlor at any given time. I've got all these neat little holiday themed gifts and wearables sitting in my inventory, I just want to give them to someone who'd appreciate them already haha.

^ My issue exactly, interspersed with a dud day. Like....I suppose I should be thankful that I'm getting anything at all, and I feel bad for complaining because at least I get someone responsive, but I actually really get discouraged when there's just a flood of cheap commons back in response. A literal flood, too. I guess I can frag them, but...I don't know, it's not that difficult to find peppermint or Luminaire themed cheap things on site, or maybe getting one item that's worth a little more? is it really that difficult? Maybe they think that's a perfectly fine series of gifts, I guess.

I dunno. I keep hoping for someone who will appreciate a little messaging and holiday punnage.

I am so sad.. why do people even join at this point if they're not gonna send anything at all??? I keep waiting for midnight every day hoping to get a decent partner, and all I get is nothing =( It's been half an hour since I've been paired with someone, and even if they joined after me and I sent a lot of "hello/good morning" items they didn't even bother to send ONE crappy item.

I'm in the exact same boat. I keep trying to be optimistic they just got distracted, because it seems sad to give up so quickly on them--- but at the same time, come on, folks. Siiigh~

i think i've given up on MM for the year... I'll finish it out but gosh, not one good MM at all. Most I have had haven't even sent one item back.... Oh well, i'll keep sending my items and being a good MM and just hope for the best for hte last few days here

I swear, I don't want expensive items, I'd be very VERY happy with cute little themed items.. I have all this stuff I stashed away hoping to get someone fun and instead everyday I sit there looking at my empty inventory.

Heck, I have fun with the MMs who send the things the above folks are not pleased with- super common, easily obtained items. I just like knowing someone is there and appreciates me sending things enough to send me something at all to acknowledge it in any way, yaknow? Sheesh.

(Granted, I do adore the big gifts or the themed gifts and whatnot, but I really flat out enjoy any acknowledgement and reminder that there's someone else on the other side of my gift sending. :| )

Well, I have to say I don't particularly like getting plugs and cases, lol, but at least they're sending something ,even if it's only for the achievement. But people who sign up and don't send anything at all.. I don't get them. You're just spoiling my fun =/ And you know, even if you just want the achievement there are so many things you can send without spending.. like pirate drinks, for example. They just cost 444 sP but they're cute, they're themed and they can be useful if you're going for the gourmet title.. it doesn't seem so hard to come up with an idea, so why on earht do you join if you don't plan to send something? it's not like it's mandatory =/

Okay, so I feel absolutely terrible. I was sent a gift (which I guess I'm not allowed to state here) +cough+critteronright+cough+ by someone that was on about 5pm Subeta time, when they sent it as well. It was one item, but it was by far the best item I've gotten from any MM this year. I ended up going to a friends, and didn't get back until after the MM reset. I always forget that I'm an hour behind Subeta. So I was thinking I had time to send an item to them real quick.. and over in the left says Your MM has been reset! NOOOOOOO!!! So now I'm on a mission to figure out who it was... :( So if you didn't receive an item back on 12/22/12, after sending the item between 4-8pm Subeta time, Please let me know. If I do manage to find my gifter, I would appreciate the opportunity to gift them back, even if it's after December. (where possibly more can be said?) Message me, comment me, something.

To my wonderful MM, whom I let down. I apologize greatly for not sending an item back in return. I know a lot of people are going to quit or have quit doing the MM because of incidents like I've put upon you on the 22nd. If nothing else, if I can't find you, and you stumble upon this, I'm sorry, and feel completely horrible. The gift is so "dear" to me

Todays MM hasn't sent anything, even though they joined second, and I've sent several items. Such a shame, but I'm still buoyed up by the above ^ :D

I've been having no luck at all with MM this year. I've played several times. The first couple of times I received nothing but junk, while I did send more expensive items. So I decided to wait a while, hoping that the more serious MMers would come out and the people playing for the achievement would be gone.

Boy was I wrong! I've played yesterday and today. I've prepared for almost an hour every time, searching for the right items, using the "Mysterious Melody Gifts That Send a Message" board, waiting in shops for the new items to restock etc. And both times I've had an MM that does not send anything in return.

Why do these people even play MM? To receive free stuff and not having to send anything in return? It's just such a shame and it takes away the fun of being able to give something nice.
