I think it's really pretty and has potential. If you want it to be one piece I'd add some fot he dark brown from the top to the feathers and also the feathers ought to be more feathery. I guess that's shading?

I really like the modified version without the feathers and the colors you have used are so pretty! The bronze tone of the top mixed with the peacock pattern looks very steampunk IMO and I like what I am seeing.

I would love it so hard if it didn't have any of the brown bits, so just the middle feather portion like a waist wrap thing. But mainly because I wouldn't use the brown at all :3 I am excited to see the progress though!
